White Boy Freak Workout last night!

Hard to believe I haven’t blogged for about 2 months. My energies have switched over to promoting and running my PT business. Last night was destined for a herculean workout. I desssed for work in my Kurt Russell, The Soldier, get-up. Face paint and all. So, fittingly, when I walked into the gym in army gear, the intensity was way up. Hadn’t done a back workout in about 6 weeks as I have been concentrating on legs, arms and delts. So, with my orange chain in tow, combat paint, jump boots, Ipod, and a green muscle shirt, the pansy onlookers knew shit was gonna happen. Let’s just say straight out, no white boy does what I do in that gym. While they are looking all neat and tidy and thinking they are working out, I load up the Hammer Strength Low Row with 5 plates each side and hang my chain with a 35 on it for 3 sets of 8 isolaterally, next move to barbell rows. Again I haven’t worked out back in 6 weeks. Load 315, rep 8, load 405 rep 3(+1 partial), descend down to 365, rep 6. Lower back stabilization trying to keep up. So now the gym members(all doing funky movements or trying to gain an edge for ego purposes by doing exercises on different stations to leverage against the pulleys - you know the losers that think they are bad by doing tricep pressdowns on the inside of the cable cross over where you have 2 pulleys that cut the actual resistance in half allowing them to use the stack.) are realizing that GI Joe means business. I move to V-bar lat pulls and do the stack(300#) for 8. I add 10# of add on weights, rep 6, hit another 6. Of course I have to fight just to get the weight stack to release from the bottom just to start to do reps. Move next to rear shrugs on Smith machine, work up to 7 plates each side. Maximal pull out of the hole just to start actual shrugging. Then move to plate loaded shrug standing machine, load 5 plates each side( I’m about wiped out) for 3 sets 8. Maximal workout, low back feeling it and had to ice it down from all, the excessive overuse stabilization. Crushing a workout, you should try it sometime!

Big Duds Follow-up

It doesn’t make sense! I’m in the gym last night and forgot my belt, actually thought about driving home to get it, but after a couple minutes of thinking, decided to go in as is. Heavy back/traps scheduled and would have to alter the workout a bit. Figured it could be a change of pace for me and I would benefit from it. First thing I see is, big dude, probably 300# about 6′2" who always wears a Gold’s shirt like he’s a serious lifter, doing back. He’s on my favorite piece, Hammer low row. He ends his sets with (2) 45’s and a ten on each side. I don’t understand! I warm up and hit about 5-6 working sets leading up to the Hammer low row and wham! I put (5) 45’s on and my 10# chain and hit it for 10 reps easy and without my belt. Then add a 25 to my chain and hit 2 more sets. If the plate horns were longer, I’d be using (6) 45’s for reps. So why would big dude, who’s sweating good like he just hit a real good workout, use ‘Pussy’ weight? These are instances that puzzle me. Yeah I could work out with 135 on the bench, but why? I guess if I get to 300# I then use girly weight to maintain my massive physique. BTW, get rid of the douche on men’s top profiles. Don’t hit that punk’s space! Gotta a girl hanging around me somwhat while I’m in the gym training, wants to take me to a movie tonight. Do I go as mild mannered Dui or blatant looking for action Dui?

Big Dudes = Big Duds at my Gym!

Nothing like the big dudes walking around like they are something and then using PUSSY weight and no intensity. Oh and wearing wife beaters even! I almost could have a comedy routine based solely on Peak Fitness Gym duds. You readers probably think I’m ballsy behind this blog, hiding behind the keyboard, FU*CK NO! I call it like it is in the gym to the face of the violators. It’s amazing how much intimidation a shake of the head with a snicker while making direct eye contact can do! The biggest comeback on me while in the gym training is the ‘loser’ took my water bottle and threw it in the trash can while I wasn’t looking. Wow! Moving on…. it is apparent that I can’t train biceps with back/traps anymore, so I train them solo and what a pump they get that way. And since this is one of my weakpoints, solution remedied. Tonight I crush biceps among the pawns of the gym board. Tomorrow night I actually get to meet a woman for drinks, wish me luck! Later!

Men’s Top Profiles? I Sound Like a Broken Record!!!

WTF is up with ‘Kids Top Profiles’? Please help? It’s more pathetic this week! BB.com intervene! It’s a joke!

Other than laughing at the Kids, I’ve been training heavy duty and eating mostly clean. Been maintaining 242-244# and getting stronger each workout. Just benched 315 for 7 after maxing out on the seated chest press with the stack plus 40# added on. Then did 340 for a triple, one second pauses. Pre-exhausting the pecs and anterior deltoid and warming up the rotastor cuff prior to benching has proven much better than I expected as far as weight used. Plus my rotator cuff is not sore as the usual benching heavy first routine. Back training like a freak, arms are getting fuller and bigger. Looking huge after my workouts, of course in the ‘huge’ mirror. Gym still blows. Training business is moving along slowly but surely. Feel September will bring a few new clients and finally my T-shirts will be finalized so I can wear them in to the gym and get their trainers on edge. My truck tailgate signage is getting the word across. I even have a professional ‘yard sign’ out in front of the main road leading to the studio I use. They are even stupid, not much of a marketing studio. Until next time, train like a FREAK!

Don’t You Just Hate ‘club trainers’?

So I’m cruisin along with my Heavy, High Intensity back workout when my path collides with a gym trainer. You know, those inconsiderate, leave everything lay out for members to trip on, you revolve around me, never use a workout sheet for notes or to refer to the client’s last workout, dorky trainer. Needless to say, my pace and intensity were righteous man, I put a couple of plates on the Hammer low row when the dork acts like he wants his client to use the machine and starts to assume I’m going to endure ripping plates off and on again with each set. I inform him that I’m going right to 5 plates and I’m not going to ‘off and on it’. He looks at me like I’m crazy, how could a member(me) refute a trainer. F*cking easy man. That’s the price you pay for being a club trainer and having to deal with all the members wanting their workout while you try to train your client. And also for not having the balls to be your own man. If you are going to accept getting paid $14-16 per hour to work out gym member clients, rather than try to build your own training business, you get what you deserve! I look at the whole bunch of trainers at my gym and I see a band of clowns with a ring leader clown. 80/20! 80% are mediocre and 20% are actually good, reputable trainers. If you are looking for laughs while you are hard at work hitting the steel, look over at your club’s trainers and take a good look at what they are really up to, you might be amazed!

My workout was great as usual, however I have to move a few tons in 45#plates to do it. Wish there was a better way! Oh yeah, having a competent gym with enough 45’s for each station. Get this, I have to literally drag 45’s around with me to my next exercise and basically steal all the 45’s from the bench press stations(2). Pathetic! I don’t want to mention names but……Peak Fitness Raleigh NC @ North Ridge shopping center SUCKS!

Just completed my 4 week cycle of Androtest and now am on 2 weeks off. Myozene is the bomb, buying my second container this week. Think I wll stack it next time with Bioquest Androcept. The 2 may be lethal. We’ll see!

 

What Happened to the ‘MEN’ in “Top Profiles - Men”?

It’s a sad day for BB.com when the ‘Top Men’s Profiles’ are all boys! The ladies have it going on! Now there’s quality! Oh, sorry Mr. Aries, props to you for cracking the kids profiles. At least we have one muscle dude. Ladies, Get With It!, hit the real dudes profiles for more hits and keep the BEEF where it belongs. On a side note, what’s with this guy who’s pic is a cropped sideview shot showing his ass cheek with his little peter cut off. I’m for most anything and I can look at a dude professionally, but that shot, I just don’t know! Don’t you agree?

Hit it hard last week in the gym, crushing workouts, strength continues to go through the roof. Nursing my impingement syndrome and not wanting to go heavy on bench but hit a double with 315 for 5 second pauses, then 4 reps with 315 for 1 second pauses. And right next to me is one of those geeky dudes who’s overall workout is a joke, but he had 315 on the bench and I was thinking maybe he got stronger, I was actually impressed for about a minute when he brought the bar down half way, arched his back and did 1 half rep. What do these guys think they actually do in a workout? NOTHING!!! Freak back workout coming tomorrow. Later!

Nothing like being pressured into doing something from family. They gang up on you and all you can do is cave in! But at least it was the beach. Workouts were going real good and then wham! eating with the family, missing some supplementation and only being able to get in one workout. But that workout was a good one and I was sore the next 2 days after. Only had minimal machines, small weighted dumbbells and a smith machine. Yesterday back to my familiar environment, the screwed up gym I train at. Nothing has changed, still dumpy and trainers that don’t put back their shit when they’re through. I guess when you become a personal trainer(self proclaimed or certified) you’re God and everyone else doesn’t matter. I let one trainer have it. Get this shit! He brings his client into the free weight area and lays him down inside the power rack and has him lay on a yoga mat that sticks out onto the walking area around the rack and has a medicine ball there, I guess for show. Walks away into the machine area for 10 minutes. I pick his crap up throw it in the corner and say out loud ‘ WTF’s wrong with these trainers?’. I know, poor gym member etiquitte on my part. Then the jerky comes back with his client, lays the stuff out again and walks away for good leaving the shit lay there. I look at one female trainer(with a client) next to this and throw the crap away again shaking my head making eye contact. I didn’t swear this time. Kudos for me! Oh, what about my workout? Even with a pushed back schedule and more than a week since my last back/trap workout, I CRUSHED IT! Hadn’t done barbell rows in a month or so and 405 wasn’t as bad as I thought. It was heavy no doubt. Oh, and another bitch thing, this big brotha(weighs at least 40 pounds more than me) uses the Hammer Strength high row and loads 3 plates (what a pussy) and does his sets and walks away leaving 6 plates on the machine. What a prick! So, I have to say out loud something about that. But I didn’t swear, only because a trainer was walking by with a client. See, I have manners. Workout note- I think the bomb is mixing an intra workout drink(concoction) and sipping it through your workout. Prima Force just came out with a product, Carb Slam and that will be in mine soon. Gorillas in the Gym! Last Night was an Ego Fest!

I should have known something was up last night at the gym as I was warming up. All the RETARDS came out of the woodwork. I’m stretching my first bodypart, calves after 2 warm-up sets, when this big dude(FAT) wants to say something to me while the earbuds were in. Without a flinch, I shouted out, I’m focused on my workout, I’m in my own zone, I don’t talk to anyone no matter if you have a funny joke. Well, that started off a comical night for me. FAT dude yells at me, pointing back to the bench, that’s the joke! Pointing to 405 on the bar. I’m laughing, inside, like FAT dude is really going to get it. He barely can pump out 3 reps with 315 cheating, of course. What a mindset, I had to arch my back, cheat to do 3 reps with 315, so that means I’m ready for 405. Let’s just say his spotters were ready for 405. Then FAT dude grunts out walking around the bench like he got it and he is strong, like pounding his chest like a Gorilla. Then later on 3 overweight dudes are benching. I have never seen 315 bounce that high off someone’s chest for reps. They all were bouncing the bar, and standing around relaxed between sets, but holding the Gorilla relaxed pose like the rest of us were just in their jungle as irritants. Then I’m into my delt portion of my workout and I have to witness this Mexican dude wearing this 6" powerlifting belt non-stop and doing the most outlandish DB work I have ever seen, like he just makes up the exercises. So I walk over into his space, look in his mirror, look at him performing his f*cked up exercise, shake my head, laugh and walk away. Then old-timer on the leg press as I was finishing up my last 3 sets. This is the guy who told me he did 10 reps with 1,000 pounds in a prior workout, boasting of course. I finish my last set, a double with 8 plates each side, full R.O.M. Then he continues, putting more plates on and up to 10 plates each side. He moves the seat position up to gain an advantage for the 1/4 range of motion lifters. He wraps his knees, big powerlifting belt and then pushes on his knees each rep, oh I mean each 1/4 rep. Now this guy will swear he does 10 reps with 1,000 pounds. There should be a computer voice on these machines to call bullshit on these type of dudes, embarrassing them for doing pussy reps. My workout, of course, was phenomenal. You know it was a good one when only the last inch of your shirt isn’t wet. My skull cap was dripping sweat and my hand towel was completely damp. My workout shorts were about half soaked. Taking a few days off to go to the beach and get some cardio workouts, drink some beer and search out some beach bunnies!

Another Successful Week!

Isn’t it great when it all comes together? I have always had the right intensity level, just not the right supplementation. Or really, not the right total supplementation plan. Here’s how I see it! Train with focus, with a plan, with intensity not like the other screw ups in the gym. Get your rest and recovery, listen to your body. Start a proven supplementation regimen covering all the bases from off days, training days, pre, intra, post workout nutrition, last snack/meal b4 bed. You are almost guaranteed to get stronger, increase your size, gain muscle weight. Right now my exact situation is just a micro period in a macro time frame. So the test of time, approx. 60 days, will tell the truth.

Just finished second week of Androtest and have 2 days off b4 starting it back up again. I’ll give you the real juice on it after 2 months of using it. If I weigh 260 at end of month 2, Androtest and Myozene ruhl the world! We’ll just have to wait and see. BTW, crushed biceps yesterday. I used to hit bis at the end of back/traps. But WTF was I thinking with my intensity level, I was never giving bis their due. So now I train them by themself  2 days after back/traps and finally they are responding nicely. I wanted to train them next day after back/traps but they were always a little sore or I just knew it wouldn’t be the best workout. So now my whole workout regimen slides an extra day so I take 8 days to train entire body, maximum recovery. Hard to believe at 46 years old, I can make substantial gains working bodyparts one time in 8 days. Maybe you guys should start listening to Gunter! He knows!
