A month after the show !

    Well it’s already been a whole month since the 2007 Teen Nationals ! Wow time fly’s huh , my body is finally starting to recover most likely a 2 more weeks and I’ll be back to normal . I have been killing it everyday training though and it’s going great right now , the training style is my usual high volume with a fast pace . My strength is coming around nicely and im filling back out great so im getting that great re-bound effect right now but staying lean at the same time . You see alot of guy gain 30-40lbs right after a show due to the excessive amounts of junk the stuff themselves with then they get bloated and mess with their metabolisms to a point that’s so unhealthy ontop of that cutting all the fat-burners out and cardio completely it’s just to much of a shock . I always stay smart , sure I eat some good food but maybe 1 thing a day for the first couple off weeks , I slowly decrease my fat burners but I keep my cardio in just 1/2 then 1/4 of what it used to be during my prep so now I do 30mins 3x’s a week and its keeping me feeling good and staying lean .. Of course the fun right now is still getting those rediculous pumps while training gotta love those and just relaxing mentally without knowing a contest is an X amount of weeks away .. Right now things are great and im looking forward to 2008 being a HUGE year and I’ll be ready … Progress pics to come soon guys !! Train hard and Train to win !!

        Well it’s been 2 weeks after the show, I’ve eased my way back into hard and heavy training getting the joints and tendons feeling loose and ready to go had my share of normal food without going overboard and im physically and mentally ready for the full-blown off-season! So let’s get things started for Redemption in 08 so what’s the plan this off-season you might ask, well let me lay it out … This off-season I’ll be working with a former Mr. universe, Mr. World, Multiple German champion, German jr.nationals champion, German teen national champion someone who’s really going to put me over to the next level. Im feeling absolutely refreshed working with this guy now everything feels new again and at the same time im preparing my mind and body for what I know undoubtedly will be the hardest year of training in my life! We as a team will bring me in so much bigger, harder, denser, rounder more striated everything just equaling out to more quality to the overall look. I will do my best to stay injury free obviously never knowing what life may bring but I take my precautions like I always have weekly deep tissue massage sessions, chiropractic care and deep intense stretching at least 20-30mins a day. I will stay leaner this off-season within 10-12lbs of contest weight which will work in my favor obviously when the prep starts I can focus on more detail than fat burning.. So what’s left to do? Time to train to win!! Tomorrow is arms and some ab training then 20mins of cardio, 1 year! Time to get it started!

2007 Teen Nationals Rebound training and eating and thoughts in general ..

     Wow the rebound, kind of a funny time for me and anybody that’s competed at a high level will know what im talking about .. It’s actually just a different feeling I mean you go from 16-12 weeks of hard-core dieting and 4am cardio session to barely getting any sleep and scraping the bottom of your oatmeal bowl to get the last little piece of that heavenly pre-contest carb to finally feeling rested being able to down the carbs and having a few little treats here and there before you start your off-season attack or atleast that’s how I do things .. After coming off my disappointing 4th place finish at the 2007 Teen Nationals I was feeling the need to pick things right back up in the gym right away like I always do after shows so theres really no difference then this time right ? Wrong, cause I have pushed myself so hard the last 6 years and being known as the cleanest eater out there who considers sushi a cheat meal 1 time a month year around I knew I was needing some sort of relief so I told myself I would get right back to training and some cardio but ease off some and have at least 1 treat everyday for the first 2 weeks of the rebound and that’s what ive done. And to be honest it feels great and relaxing at the same time to be able to go out 1 time a day and just get what I want might sound funny to normal people but us competitors know what it’s like and even some competitors might find it weird too as most of my buddies even some who are pro’s love to make fun of me in the past about my constant strict eating year around .. Enough about that though today was a great training day went in there around 830am ready to kill some back and calves and I did 26 sets for back 12 sets for calves but still feeling alittle tensed from being depleted for so long but that is wearing off slowly and I finished with 10mins of stretching and 20mins of cardio on the treadmill . Tommorrow the best day of the week LEGS !! Stay tuned we will call this Training for Redemption for 2008 . Im coming to Pittsburgh again for the 3rd time this time i’ll be 19 and I am going to take what’s mine this time !
