Six weeks out…
Thursday, March 19th, 2009My trainer says I’m "on target" with my training schedule. I pumped out three sets of 230 lb reverse-grip benches for seven reps, which was good, but tiring - it feels like an aerobic workout! Next I did three sets of three-board reverse-grip presses, 255X2, 270X2 (the second rep was sloppy) and 280X2 (also second rep sloppy). But, did it!
Next week we go back to standard grip, up the weight to 240 lbs and lower the reps to 6. Then two-board presses, don’t know the weights yet, but should be heavier than this session. Felt amazingly good afterwards, not too beat up at all. Good sign, I guess.
