EXCITED!

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

As I was hoping… My shipment got to my house while I was in class this morning!

-5lb Rocky Road ON 100% Whey

-44pak Animal Pak

-White Flood (newer version)

-Universal Torrent

-Dream Tan!!!!! - I’m going to apply this for when I take updated pictures… This is my first time using skin color products so it should be interesting to say the least ;)

Pictures will most likely be taken tomorrow or friday, depending on if I can get a camera and someone to take pictures of me almost naked..  :( haha.

Shipment/update

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

So as of 6:43 Central time this morning.. my package from bb.com was on the truck ready to be delivered.. that was 30 min ago.. so it should be here by the time im back from my first class!! THAT MEANS…. that after two months, I can finally do some update pics when I get my friend’s camera to borrow!

I’m kinda disapointed that I wont be able to lift today though :( Got classes til 2 and work at 4 (my workouts takes 1.5-2 hours and I like to have an hour to eat after that and shower)   But such is life.. I’ll just push harder tomorrow!

Day1 Brian’s 5×5 Routine + new stack

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Day 1 of my 5×5 routine… Also started White Flood (still older version) for pre workout and Purple Wraath during workout..

First day is a bit lighter due to getting used to the workout… Not to mention my body is going to be taxed in the next four days, hitting the same body parts 3 times a week.

Squats: 165×5, 205×5, 245×5, 285×5, 325×5

T-bar Rows: 105×5, 130×5, 160×5, 185×5, 210×5

Bench Press: 135×5, 170×5, 200×5, 235×5, 275×5

Assistant Exercises…

Hypers: 60lb DB in hands to chest…  2 sets of 8 reps

Calves:

   Strt. Leg Standing Calf Raise: 160lbs  @ 3sets for 12/12/12 reps

   Sled Calf Raises: 320lbs @ 3 sets for 13/13/13 reps

   Freemotion Calf:  superset…  400/320/240lbs @ 1 superset for 20/30/40 reps (no rest)

Felt like a good workout :) Only decently taxing exercise was bench.  I may have to lower the starting weight a little, depending on how my chest does on Tuesday.   Keep checking in!

Day 5: Arms/Calves

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Today I was skeptical about doing arms, because my bi’s were a bit tender from back day still… But it had been 3 days since I did back, so I figured I’d try warming them up a lot to get some blood flowing… maybe that’d help.  And surprisingly, it did :D   woo!!   ** I also started Xpand Energized today, and I was pretty impressed with the results **  Heres today’s numbers…

EZ-Bi Curl: 125lbs  ||  3 sets  ||  10/8/6 reps

CloseGrip Bench(on ez bar): 215lbs  ||  3 sets  ||  10/7/4 reps (My tris gave out on last set outta no where! D*MMIT!)

DB Curls: 50’s  ||  3 sets  ||  10/8/6 reps

EZ-Bar Skullcrushers: 115lbs  ||  3 sets  ||  12/10/7 reps

Standing Calf Raise: 215lbs  ||  3 sets  ||  11/10/9 reps

Sled Calf Raises: 320lbs  ||  3 sets  ||  12/11/10 reps

Freemotion Calf Raise: 400/300/200lbs  ||  1 compound set (one leg at a time)  ||  20/30/40 reps per leg.

Overall… Very good workout… minus the drops in endurance on the 3rd set of some exercises… My body requires a bit longer breaks … so I took 2 minute breaks between sets… the workout says 90 seconds… but w/e.. I can’t lift any weight doing that!  Next 2 days are break… Then sunday I hit up chest/shoulders again.

KEEP TRAINING HARD!

First Day Shock Therapy/pic update

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

Just finished a nice long delt/trap workout with some abs in there.  As the title says, today was my first day on shock therapy.  Of course, the taste wasnt too great, as most powders arent which concerned with N.O. supps, but I dont care about taste.. I had some good endurance in the gym like with ANimal Pump, but I noticed a better pump than with AP.  I think I’ll stick with this for a while and see how it goes.  I usually dont get much of a pump with shoulders either.

As for the pictures.. I’m heading to my friend’s (not the same one that took my before pics) but hopefully his camera is better than mine and shows what  I want shown in my pics a bit better.  Check in within the hour to see the progress pictures!  -Brian

Supps here!

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Woke up at 9 this morning and went on Fedex to track where my package was thus far… I get on the site and it says "package delivered at 7:30.  WHOA! So I ran to the front door and it was sitting out there when I woke up like Santa came while I was sleeping lol!  I can’t wait to get started on my Shock Therapy! Powders usually do a very good job compared to pills for me so this should be interesting to try out against N.O.Xplode.  I’ll keep you updated. -Bri

Update

Friday, June 1st, 2007

Not going to write down all my back/bicep workout today due to lack of time… but I had amazing energy as always, pretty good pumps, and some good numbers down! Specially my Row numbers.  I was going to take progress pictures today, and I looked pretty good, but the camera I used for the before pics is not accessible to me right now.. and my camera SUCKS and doesn’t show my body tone and thickness like I want it to… therefore I will be taking new pics here in 2 or 3 more days once I get my friend’s camera.. thanks for reading!  -Brian

New update

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Today is my day off to relax ;) Going to do Back/Biceps on friday and Gotta take saturday off because I work all day :( so sunday will be my delt/trap day.  ***ALSO!! I will most likely be taking updated pictures after tomorrow’s workout sometime… check in tomorrow afternoon.

AP/Torrent Day 13

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Today= Legs

Standard Squats: 360lbs x 3sets x 4/3/3 reps

Incline Squat Mach: 780lbs x 2sets x 7/5 reps

Lunges: 80lb DB’s x 2sets x 8/8 reps

Superset Leg Curl/Ham bend-overs: (305lbs/bodyweight +25lbs) x 2sets x 8/8 and 12/12 reps

Abduction: 175lbs x 1set x 12reps  (easy)

Adduction: 175lbs x 1set x 15reps (also easy)

Glute/ham machine: 100 x 1set x 15reps (also also easy haha)

Lastly… the killer calves…

Standing Calf Raises: 215lbs x 5sets x 10-12 reps each set

Seated Calf Raises(on Squat machine): 250/150/50lbs (20reps/30reps/40reps no breaks)

Freemotion Machine Calves: 340/240/140 (20reps/30reps/40reps also no break in-between)

Tons of energy, and my calves were pretty much exploding with blood.  I couldn’t contract them anymore by the time I was done training them.  I still can’t while I type this.  Veins were popping out all over my calves and lower legs, it was pretty sweet :)   Hopefully I pushed myself hard enough today to keep triggering my leg growth that I so badly need!

Ap/Torrent Day 12 ish.

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

So today was Chest/Triceps… Didn’t lift for 3 days due to lack of gym being open, so I was fresh and ready to go… The workout was as follows.  .5 means I had help on the last rep and went to failure ( which i do on most exercises )

     Numbers go weight first then number of sets then number of reps per set.. the line up was all messed up so sorry if its hard to read.

Flat BB Bench Press:  295lbs
   3                6.5/4.5/3.5                3 min breaks

Weighted Dips: body + 125lbs
2                    6/5                       2.75m break

Inc. BB Bench Press: 230lbs
    3                3.5/3.5/2.5                3m break

Decline BB Bench:    235lbs
     2                 8.5/6.5                     3m break

EZ-Curl Close Grip: 240lbs
      1                     3

French Curl Slow:    95lbs                   Â
 Â Â Â Â Â Â  2                  13/10.5                    2m break

Cable Chest Fly:  95lbs per arm                   2                 9.5/7.5                    Â
 Â  2m break

Rope Pushdown Superset (Did full set of hands close, then dropped weight and did set where I flared the rope outward at the bottom.)   ** 200lbs/85lbs **               2×2    Â
 Â Â Â Â (5.5/8)(5.5/7.5)              2m break

Machine Chest Fly: 215lbs
        2                   12.5/10.5                  2m break

Conclusion:  No crazy pumps, muscles definitely looked full and were hydrated/pumped, but STILL no rock hard feeling like I usually get… I’m pretty much certain I won’t get a full pump from this product and I’m much better off sticking to powders rather than pills when it comes to N.O. products.  Lots of energy for lifting though as usual.
