Weekend/pics

So I decided I wanted to take pictures down at the lake this weekend because there’s better scenery and lighting for the pictures.. only prob is no one in my family has a decent camera.. my mom is going to buy one while we’re down there hopefully so I can take the pictures..  But I am going to the lake this weekend so no workouts :( (very sad for me)

Back to heavy! Arms…

So my light week is done and I’m tryin to get at least one good workout in before I hit up the lake for the weekend one last time before fall kicks in.  I’m pressed for time ( got a class sooon) so here’s the workout!  (I’m only showing working sets to failure)

EZ-Curl Bar Curls: 135×8 (9 with help)

EZ-Bar Close Grips: 225×10 (11 with help)

Hammer Curls DB: 70’s x 9 reps (very slow controlled reps, no swinging)

Skullcrushers: 125×8 (9 with help)

Close-Grip Cable Curls: 180×11

French Curls(tris): 110×9  (it’s easy to cheat on these, so this week, I lowered the weight by 5lbs and focused on contraction and form.)

Also did burnout sets for bi’s and tri’s to get the blood flowing at the end and did 4 sets of supinated wrist curls and pronated to work forearms.. They’re still rock hard as I type this.. It’s making it hard!

EXCITED!

As I was hoping… My shipment got to my house while I was in class this morning!

-Dream Tan!!!!! - I’m going to apply this for when I take updated pictures… This is my first time using skin color products so it should be interesting to say the least ;)

Pictures will most likely be taken tomorrow or friday, depending on if I can get a camera and someone to take pictures of me almost naked..  :( haha.

Shipment/update

So as of 6:43 Central time this morning.. my package from bb.com was on the truck ready to be delivered.. that was 30 min ago.. so it should be here by the time im back from my first class!! THAT MEANS…. that after two months, I can finally do some update pics when I get my friend’s camera to borrow!

I’m kinda disapointed that I wont be able to lift today though :( Got classes til 2 and work at 4 (my workouts takes 1.5-2 hours and I like to have an hour to eat after that and shower)   But such is life.. I’ll just push harder tomorrow!

Light week: Back/Traps

Last day of light week today… just did 4 sets of supersets with 8 different exercises.  If you really want to know what I did just ask lol..Now to work all night

Light week: legs (not so light lmao)

So today was my "light" leg day for the week… needless to say, it was still pretty exhausting.

Superset 1:  (3 sets back to back of each of the two exercises)

-BB Squats & One-Legged Calf Raises (w/ 45lb plate)   **Sets of 12 // 8 reps**

Superset 2: (same deal with 3 sets)

-Front Squats &     "       "

Superset 3: 

-One-Legged Sled Squats &   "      "

Superset 4:

-Leg Extensions & Leg Curls (machines)   **Did one leg at a time on each machine for 15 reps per leg per machine**

***Also did 6 sets of 8-10 reps on the standing calf raise machine  // Freemotion Machine squats supersets

Lastly… Did 3 sets of static holding contracted calfs (one leg at a time) on the balance ball thing( hard to explain)  Did this for 30 seconds per leg, holding a 25lb plate in my hand.

 

I really burned calves today.. hoping to shock some new growth.. they need to catch up faster!

TRAIN HARD!

Update

I’ve had way too many sad blogs/problems in life lately… and here’s one you guys, and I, can look forward to… I ordered some self-tanning stuff so I can take some decent pictures that hopefullly show my definition a lot better and my improvement on legs over the last month or two.. I’ll be taking these pictures later on in the week next week so keep checking!

More life problems / Chest&Shoulders

Did chest and shoulders today … the day after the girl I cared for decided it was best for us to be friends… I get home from my workout today… only to find out that my grandma on my dad’s side may not last the week.. and this is less than a week after I went to my mom’s dad’s funeral :( :(   All of this is going to catch up to me sooner or later… but I have to push through…. I pray to God every night that things will work out for the better…

I’m not going to write out today’s workout, but It was a dumbbell exercises and one handed cable exercises…

break ups…

So I saw this coming… but the girl I loved and cared for broke up with me tonight…. She was the only reason I was happy…. I see her at work almost every night… get to look at her beautiful face…. and now it’s shattered all in a moment… and I’m not going to put her down or blame her because she did what she felt was right…. but my everyday happiness has just gone down the tubes and I dont know what to do…….. I just had to vent on here…

First day Light week

So today was my first light workout day for the week.. one, to change my workout up so my body gets confused.. and two, so I can recover from the last month of heavy lifting!  Numbers really aren’t important, due to the fact that nothing was heavy.. but this is the layout

Arms…

Did 4 different combination of supersets for bi’s/tris  ..each superset went back and forth for 3 sets of 15 reps.

1. Hammer Curls//One armed behind head DB Tri extensions

2. 1 arm cable curl//1 arm reverse grip cable pushdown

3. Concentration curls//static contracted 1 arm DB pushbacks

4. 2-hand wide-grip cable curls//Flare-out rope pushdowns

Calves/Ab’s

Did 15 SETS of one legged stiff calf raises (with 25lb plate in hand) for 12 reps each… throughout the workout

Ab’s

-3 sets of hanging knee raises   -3 sets of 25 crunches//15(each side) side bends ** on decline bench **

-2 sets of 1 min long stationary leg raises

I made up the entire workout today.. I wanted to focus mostly on 1 armed exercises/ 1 legged… to help build symmetry in my body.

 TRAIN HARD!
