GOOD Leg day!

Monday, June 11th, 2007

So my tri’s were still sore from my June 8th workout ( wtf?!? ) lol.. So I decided to blast legs today since they’re being caught up anyway.  Needless to say, I’m glad I did … because my numbers went up in every exercise.. the one I was VERY happy about was my standing squats…

Standing BB Squats: 370lbs @ 5/4/3 reps in 3 sets   370lbs for 5 reps? HELLZ yes! not less than a week ago I was doing 365 5 times … I went up an entire 5lbs in one week with the same reps..

The other happy part of my workout was the sled squats… 785lbs @ 7/6 reps with FULL squats… last week I had the stop (that stops the weight at a certain position at the bottom) on the middle notch out of 3.   This week I left the notch out and did full squats with the same weight.

All the rest of my workout went well too.. I’m not going to put the numbers in right now but you get the jist.  Have a good one everyone :) -Brian

Off day

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

I have today off since I lifted the last 3 days in a row and I need to give my tri’s some rest before I do delts/traps tomorrow.  Gotta work all night too so yeah lol. Tri’s and bi’s were definitely sore after the last 2 workouts I had.. Which they usually aren’t too sore after I do them with my chest and back.. so I know I worked them!

Tricep Blowout

Friday, June 8th, 2007

Did a JUST Tricep workout today without chest for once so I could really blast them into shock for new growth lol.  Energy was great as usual… workout was as follows…

EZ-Curl Bar Close Grips: 260lbs @ 7/6/6 reps for 3 sets

SkullCrushers: 135lbs (55 on each side of bar) @ 8/7/6 reps for 3 sets

Tricep Rope pushdown (superset: hands together first, then flare out right after that) 175/75lbs @ 8/8 & 8/9 reps for 2 sets

French Curls:  85lbs @ 12 reps for 3 sets

Closed out with DIPS @ body weight (218lbs roughly)……. Did 25 reps at body weight.

Conclusion: My forearms were a achey from doing some heavier biceps stuff yesterday, but I pushed through it and felt fine… Put out some good numbers and effort for sure… Hopefully these last 2 workouts really shock my tri’s and bi’s.

Bicep Solo Workout

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

I haven’t done a workout for ONLY biceps in a longggg time so I figured I’d do that for biceps today and then triceps tomorrow.  I finally got a huge pump for the first time in a while, since biceps are the part to do if you want one so heres what I did today.

EZ-Curl Bar Curls: 145lbs @ 4/3/3 reps for 3 sets

Preacher DB Curl: 50lb DB’s @ 10/8/7 reps for 3 sets

Concentration DB Curls: 35lb DB’s @ 13/10/8 reps for 3 sets

High Cable Curls: 35lbs each arm @ 25 reps for 3 sets.. ** note, my right arm was having trouble getting all 25 reps, got tired at 18 reps or so on the second and third set so I found a weakness.. My right arm needs to be built up a tiny bit when concerned with endurance :( boooo

Anywho, it felt pretty good overall.. peace out!          -Brian

Massive Leg Blowout!!

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007

I am determined to be ready for competitions within a year or two… and if I REALLY want to excell in them I need to blast my wheels like there’s no tomorrow! So today I did just that and came to the brink of throwing up about 3/4 through my workout… But I pushed through it. I did as follows…

Barbell Squats: 365lbs @ 5/4/4 reps for 3 sets (New PR, of course.)

Decline Squat machine?: 780lbs @ 8/7 reps for 2 sets

Dumbbell Lunges: 85’s in each hand @ 8/7 reps for 2 sets

Leg Curl W/ Bend overs’ superset: Curl: 305lbs @ 8/8 reps for 2 sets & Bend over: w/ 35lb plate @ 10/9 reps for 2 sets

Abduction machine: 180lbs @ 12 reps for 1 set

Adduction machine: 180lbs @ 12 reps for 1 set

Glute/ham Machine: 120lbs @ 15 slow reps for 1 set (all of those were just for easy tone, they were easy)

And of course my normal new calf routine which has been working wonderfully thus far…

Standing Calf Machine: 220lbs @ 12/10/10/8/7 reps for 5 sets (1.5 min break in between each set)

Squat Machine calves: 255/155/55lbs (no breaks in between each weight) @ 20/30/40 reps for 1 set

Freemotion Calves: 360/260/160lbs (also no breaks between weight) @ 20/30/40 reps for 1 set

Felt like I was going to die but my energy was great… It’s going to SUCK for me at work tonight when I’m hobbling around the restaurant lol… Thanks for reading! -Brian

Off day

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

Tonight I work a few hours and I’m most likely going to play handball so I won’t be lifting, I need my recooperation energy haha.  Tomorrow is a hard day of legs, though, so I’ll need all that energy I’m "saving" from not lifting.  (Handball doesn’t count as using up too much energy.)   Keep on pumpin everyone!

Meh

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Did chest and triceps today… VERY bad idea after doing shoulders yesterday.. I felt fine going into the gym but I could tell my triceps were a bit worn from the day before once I got half way into my workout.. I had to drop a few sets from my routine today because I didn’t want to overtrain… on the plus side, my chest exercises were pretty good! haha.. think ill take 2morrow off and then do legs on wednesday.  peace.

First Day Shock Therapy/pic update

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

Just finished a nice long delt/trap workout with some abs in there.  As the title says, today was my first day on shock therapy.  Of course, the taste wasnt too great, as most powders arent which concerned with N.O. supps, but I dont care about taste.. I had some good endurance in the gym like with ANimal Pump, but I noticed a better pump than with AP.  I think I’ll stick with this for a while and see how it goes.  I usually dont get much of a pump with shoulders either.

As for the pictures.. I’m heading to my friend’s (not the same one that took my before pics) but hopefully his camera is better than mine and shows what  I want shown in my pics a bit better.  Check in within the hour to see the progress pictures!  -Brian

Supps here!

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Woke up at 9 this morning and went on Fedex to track where my package was thus far… I get on the site and it says "package delivered at 7:30.  WHOA! So I ran to the front door and it was sitting out there when I woke up like Santa came while I was sleeping lol!  I can’t wait to get started on my Shock Therapy! Powders usually do a very good job compared to pills for me so this should be interesting to try out against N.O.Xplode.  I’ll keep you updated. -Bri
