Animal Pump/Torrent Day 3

I’m not going to post my workout from today due to lack of time… but i did chest and triceps.  Energy was really good… worked out for a full 2 hours… Major downside was i had some huge break times because I was trying to do weighted dips with my belt at my body weight + 135 lbs… and right when I popped up to rep it out, the connector piece snapped.  But as for the workout itself, it overall went really well…   Still no huge pumps or hardness feeling at all.. only day 3 but nothing huge yet.. my muscles were definitely full and volumized though.. just no hardness that I used to get from N.O. Explode.

Animal Pump/Torrent day 2 Post-workout

Today’s workout was as follows… (Delts/Traps)      FYI, this is my last day of lighter weight… I’m going low rep starting monday.

Barbell Shoulder Press: 225lbs x 3sets x 12reps

Arnold Shoulder Press: 45lb DB’s x 3sets x 12reps

Shrugs (behind back): 240lbs x 3sets x 12reps

Frontal Shrugs: 315lbs x 3sets x 12reps

Machine Shoulder Press: 210lbs x 2sets x 12reps

Cooldown to flush with blood: Behind Pyramid Shrugs (start with 5 25’s on each side) go to failure, strip down to 4 25lb plates each side… go again.. no rest.. and so on down to 1 plate each side.

Also did set of 30 reps of shoulder press with light weight to pump shoulders before leaving the gym.
**Conclusion: Today went pretty well… I have a lot of energy when I’m in the gym, Don’t get that feeling ever that I can’t lift anymore.  Didn’t have any insane pumps, but I could definitely feel and see that my cells were volumized.  In a way, I sort of like that… I can still get full contractions, but still know my muscles are getting the blood flow and nutrients they need to repair.  Shoulders and traps never get much of a pump anyway.  Overall, I’m pleased with the results so far.  Monday morning I do chest and triceps, and being day 3, my pumps should start to get more pronounced since I havent been off of creatine for too long.  Thanks for reading!   -Brian

Day2: Animal Pump/Torrent Pre-workout

Just wanted to point out this small side note… last night before I went to bed…I was staring at the mirror while brushing my teeth as most people do, and i noticed something really cool.   The underside of my inside tricep and the inside of my bicep had a network of veins that I had never seen before.  It was like an ant farm of blood tunnels! I’m hoping this continues this way (I think it helps that I’m on animal cut right now, to lower water content under arms, so it’s REALLY bringing out my vascularity and Animal cut / pump are working synergistically.   On another note, my biceps aren’t sore at ALL from yesterday… that creatine must be doing its job :)

I’m lifting in a few hours, gotta get it done before work tonight.. keep checking in to see what results are after day 2!

Post-Workout Animal Pump Review

Just for some starters here…

Stats: Age:20  Weight: 216ish BF: 8-9% Been off of NO/Creatine for 2 weeks.

7:30am: Ate oatmeal w/ skim milk and one slice of 12grain bread with peanut butter, also had some extra milk to drink.

9:30am: Had 3/4 cup honey nut cheerios for some carbs before workout (w/ skim milk, not much)

9:50am: Took Animal Pak multi

10:25am: Took Animal Pump

 

Started lifting at 10:50ish.

Back/Biceps

Lately I’ve just been pre-exhausting arms by doing their major muscle fathers first (aka.. back to warm up bi’s)  From my knowledge, it doesn’t matter if I’m doing lower weight on biceps because of the pre-exhausting, as long as they get worked hard enough.

 Now for the workout today… Went in this order  (keep in mind I have 2 days left on my high rep weeks, then I’ll hit the heavy weights starting monday.)  ** = New to routine, was guessing weight, it was light this week.

Biangular Back Rows: 225lbs x 12reps x 3sets      Wide-Grip Pullups: 40lbs assistance x 12reps x 2sets

Pulldowns: 265lbs x 12reps x 2sets      Standing Curls (EZ curl bar): 90lbs x 12reps x 2sets

**Bent Over Rows: 125lbs x 12reps x 2sets      Dumbbell Preacher Curl: 30lbs each arm x 12reps x2sets

Concentration Curls: 20lbs each arm x 12reps x 2sets 

Superset… Deadlifts / High cable curls      Deadlift: 225lbs x 12reps x 3sets  and   Cable Curls: 35 each arm x 12reps x 3sets.

 

Conclusion:  On a mental note, I had a hard time trying to force myself to keep my wrists bent back so I took my forearms out of bicep isolations.  I do this to keep forearms from doing all the work at the top end of the curl when I fully contract.  It makes curling A LOT harder.      

As for the Animal Pump… Felt a decent pump in arms after about 4 sets of back exercises, but nothing insane, which is to be expected.  I’m sure after being on torrent and this for a few days I’ll really start to notice the difference.  Thanks for reading if you actually read all of this!  -Brian

Animal Pump / Torrent Day 1

I woke up this morning at 7 am… left at 8 am for summer class… no supps… BUT when I got back at 9:30… there it was.. the box sitting on my front porch!  I’m going to start taking it today, having 2 high rep lifting days left.  After today and tomorrow, I’m switching my routine up a bit… More details after I workout today! Keep checking in.

Leg update

After doing my leg workout yesterday… I can definitely say that my calves have gained huge improvements compared to when I started blasting them a month ago.  They actually have a shape to them now and I can see the 2 heads on the back.  I’ll post more leg pictures up in a week or 2 when I update all my other pictures.

New Stack / Notes

So, checking the progess on my package, It should be here tonight or tomorrow at the latest.  (That package includes Universal Torrent and Animal Pump.  Just to save myself some money, (which I never have enough of right now) I’m going to only take 2 scoops post workout instead of 3 like the serving says.  That way it’ll last longer and I can buy it AGAIN at the same time as Pump, if I like the results I see. 

I was saying I was going to take the day off, BUT I see no reason to, being today is back and biceps, which neither are sore.  I really am not liking this muscle soreness from not being on creatine/no though.  I’m am a lot more sore after workouts now in the off cycle when compared to being on my N.O. Explode and Vitargo CGL.  I look forward to getting back on my supps.  Time to prep for my lifting :)

Funny run in + update

Was in a book store today in town trying to get a new workout log, because mine is full… I see an old highschool mate of mine and he asks "are you going to ever stop lifting?"  I laughed of course… and after answering questions I thought to myself, "I’ll stop lifting the day I stop breathing."  I laughed again and got my workout log and bought a book that in detail describes ALL ergogenic aids and stuff for bodybuilders.. figured I’d learn some more science behind some things im taking.

 

On a more noteworthy note, I’m going back into lifting 2morrow.  Going to do one more higher rep week while I’m off the supplements… and then once i start back up next week I’m going to proceed to doing my first actual heavy routine.. (3 reps or less per set) among other things.  I’m pumped!

Important Updates

Cycling off of N.O. Explode and all creatine products as well for the next 2-3 weeks starting today.  When I start back up, I’m going to try some new Nitric Oxide supps.. Since I’ve had good results from universal products, I’m going to start back up on "Animal Pump" for my pre-workout energy/pumps /// and "Torrent" for post workout nutrition to keep me anabolic. 

 On a side note, I’m having good results from Animal cuts so far (this being the 4th day on.)  Only other changes for my cut phase are small tweaks in diet.  I’m not going to pre-contest cut.. just normal cut.  Changes include 1. only eating simple carbs during exercise / lifting instead of sporadic times during the day… 2. Whole grain/wheat carbs any other time… 3. Drinking more water… 4. Cutting all fats down to a minimal (most my fat content comes from peanut butter) and lastly 5. Adding "Animal Cuts" to my routine supps.  After 3 weeks of this, I will post new photos to show results :)

Waking up at 7am in the MORNING is giving me some mixed feelings.  I definitely like having more sunlight to use up to play sports and be outside… but I’m not getting to sleep til 11:30pm.  Needless to say, 7.5 hours of sleep a night is NOT enough for me.  Due to this "lack" of sleep compared to my normal 9.5 hours… I am taking a day off of lifting! *gasp*  Also… after class today (yes, im up because of a summer class) I’m going to take a nice long nap.
