I woke up this Monday morning at 5:45 like every other and hit the floor moving, ready to train. This morning was just like many others in most ways, but I felt blessed. I took a moment to be thankful for being able to move mountains in the gym this morning, I felt good about it. God has blessed this day for all of us just as he does everyday we recognize him he’s active in our lives. So I’m writing this to remind you all that even though your goals might be coming slow or your going through a tough time in your personal life, that god is there, he is good, and he will BLESS every day if you let him!

Its february 15, 2009 and leg day once again. Leg days a killer these days because of all the cardio for leaning out, but i’m good with it. I’m not about to be one of those guys with a big upper body and peg legs, so I’m about to go make friends with the squat rack for 10 sets of agonizing reps that probably wont go over 315 in weight. Sound sissy to you guys? Its not alot of weight thats right, but my form is solid and I take my butt to heels every single rep. Thats just the way we do it, check out my video journal of my leaning out, I’m going to get some training footage in the third installment.

Its Saturday, Feb. 7 2009 and I’m getting ready to train Legs. There are alot of things to do on this Ssturday Night and maybe there will be time for fun after work but its time to get serious right now. Its a small sacrifice to make gains, get ready, and move forward. Thats what its really all about right?

Wake up, eat, train, sleep. The news? All bad. Thats a problem for somebody who’s pushing forward. The solution? Turn it off, forget about it. The only thing I can control is my day. My training. The positive impact I can have on my life and others. I believe in God’s plan. Thats my security blanket. So i’m going to keep making decisions on the spot. Going with my gut. Living in the moment. I’m a firm believer everything happens for a reason. I also believe if you want something you’ve got to take it. If its ripped abs. A nice house. A luxury car. Whatever? Take it. I personally only want the first of those. If our country learns nothing from this crisis then we should learn to appreciate what we have. Stifle greed. Damn opulence. Forget the Jones’s and keeping up with them. Do what you do. Love what you have. For all you in the muscle ink crew you know that we can turn our bodies into twisted steel thats priceless. Stronger, bigger, leaner, faster. So if your feeling how I feel let me know. Its a positive look. Its the way I see things. What about you?
