Bring It!

August 26, 2008

So I’ve got the P90x system and i’m really stoked to use it.  I’ve read through the book and have set a date (Sept 7th) to start the program.  I’m really excited about it,  I can do the workouts at home so I can be close to my daughter after work and not seclude myself in a gym. I’ll try to do more updates and take pics for sure…..stay tuned!!

My Measurements are all off

September 2, 2007

Well I’m a freakin’ genius….or not.  I kept wondering how to take the right measurements and just realized that the first time I did it, I was way off. Well I just took them again, and wouldn’t you know it, still did it wrong. I just now realized that there are vids that tell you how to take them.  Next month I’ll update with my proper measurements….

Startin’ from Scratch

August 31, 2007

So I’m not even sure if people read this thing or not. But I’m writing it down anyway.  So there hasn’t been ANY improvement in my fitness or weight in the past 2 months.  I have been working in a pedo clinic and then the VA hospital in Asheville. During that time, I had two close family members die within a week of each other.  Obviously, this devestated me.  Although I came home for the funerals, it was tough being away from home and family during that time.  I got side tracked, started drinking a bit, stopped working out and just emotionally ate all the time and was hitting the fast food again. The only reason I think my weight didn’t change was the amount of work and stress I have been under.

Well in a few days I’ll be back in school.  I am going to start my "transformation" over and really really want to stick to it.  I thrive off of encouragement so if you read this, I’d love some comments on my blog or my pics.  I have a 12 week program set up with weights and cardio….primarily focused to get myself back in shape.  Then I’ll start a 12 week mass building program during the winter. When that is done, I’ll do a 12 week program focusing on melting away some of the bulk.  Doing this, will have me completing these three sessions in time for graduation next may!

Wish me luck!  I wanna graduate and become a "Doc" looking and feeling my best!  Pictures, and measurements will be updated soon as I get moving!

2 Weeks until I hit the Ground runnin’

August 20, 2007

Well, I’ve been on rotations and away from home for 8 weeks, and I have 2 more to go.  You’d think I would have taken all that time to overhaul my diet and pick up some cardio, but alas it was not to be.  So I’ve maintained my "thick" appearance and I’m done with it!  tired of it!  It’s the last straw.

My back hurts more than ever and I really need to stengthen my core and abs.  Working out always makes me feel better, but I’ve been exhausted from working at the VA hospital I practically collapse when I come home. On top of that, my grandmother and mother in law both past away in the same week just 3 weeks ago.  So a lot of emotional eating has been going on.

When I get back, i’m putting together a mass building program and diet.  I’m going to keep telling myself that sitting around does nothing for me or my health.  I have to get back in the damn gym!  Onward ho!!

Alright already!

May 9, 2007

For the love of God, I need to get started!

So I started this BodySpace thing over a month ago. I figured if I made my goals semi public, I’d be more motivated to make it happen.  However, I’ve discovered I’m VERY good at enabling my own lazyness.  I always have an excuse, it’s always tomorrow, I’m always too busy.  Well I can always spare an hour right?  So it starts tomorrow morning.  The gym is closed for the next few days, but I can do cardio, use dumbells at home, and do pushups and ab work right?

I have 6 weeks at home before I leave for 10 weeks of rotations.  I have access to a gym and lots of food right now.  I plan on adding as much mass as possible.  During rotations, I’ll be in a small apartment or hotel room with questionable meals and no gym.  I figure during that tme I’ll do a lot of cardio and home workouts.  Sound good?  Good, just checkin.

If anyone reads these things…feel free to chime in.  I’d love to hear from ya.  And maybe I’ll feel like someone is holding me accountable!  Ha ha.  Till next time. Brush and floss
