Be what you would seem to be - or, if you’d like it put more simply - never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise. Lewis Carroll
The barbell requires not only physical power, but speed, reaction, coordination and will, too. Bulging muscles have long ceased to guarantee success - many other things are needed today. Andrew Charniga, Jr.

Oops!.. NO LIFT either. Last week I did partials which sucks of course
Today is Monday, a day-off. Tomorrow I’ll see if I am able to at least repeat my summer “feats”. Light weight, baby!
Yesterday 071002 (i.e.- the day-before-yesterday’s tomorrow) did sumo deadlifts. One squat rack, as usualy, was occupied by a bunch of chicks freaking with something like naked bar curls etc. while the other one was absent at all :( I had nothing against chicks, so I found compromise and went for a goooood alternative :)
Today’s 071003 Nerd test score (O forum T):

LIGT WEIGHT, baby!..

Oops!
In my Lifting Stats I set a goal to bench 331.0 lb (150.5 kg) (+22.0 lb) by September 1, 2007.
Alas. My Bench Goal term Has Expired but Has Not Been Achieved Yet.
Reasons?
First there was a trauma. Not gym related.
Second, I left the town for vacations that lasted a fortnight. Trained sporadically. Felt good.
Third, nutrition… OK, enough of the reasons. They already suck. I should’ve known better than to set a goal I knew I might fail to complete. Strange, but as soon as I “published” my stats, something went wrong and I haven’t changed them ever since.
The point is that all this time I haven’t been doing regular bps at all. Instead I did close grip presses and reverse presses. Now I’m focusing on MPs and clean and jerks and my overall strength grows slowly but steadily. So, I don’t give a shift if I still can’t press 331. Sure. I mean it.
What I want to know, however, is how the heck am I going to change the situation so that I could push these 331 lb someday?..
Eureka!!!
I’m gonna SQUAT!!!!!
