First week, its all go.

Well the first week of my 5 x 5 split has been completed. I really need to write things down, i think my start weights on some exercises were a bit to heavy, so after the 3rd workout its getting to be a struggle. Normally that doesnt happen to the end of week two. Doesnt help when your training partners (wife and best mate) think its OK to take the piss. But as i reminded them during our incline DB’s, all the weight together that you guys are lifting doesnt total what i am holding in one hand, so lets get on with it.

Ah buts its good to have the wife back so i dont complain to much. On another note picked up my new car yesterday and am absolutely stoked, for my aussie friends its a Toyota Kluger grande, dont know if you OS guys have the same model, but its way cool, and the GPS system is awesome.

Did another set of bloods yesterday, checking lft’s again, will then do another androgen test and see whats happened to the testosterone, hopefully all has come good because i am feeling a whole lot better. We have decide to stave off surgery for the time being the disk protrusion seems to be recinding a bit, meaning the nrsi has possibly done its job and as long as I remain symptom free, all is good. Well thats enough from me, have a good weekend everyone.

After a couple of weeks away doing some fishing comps (similar to US bass style events) it was great to return home. The clean eating suffered a bit and i had to rely on protien bars and shakes. I think i needed the rest anyway, and it gave the back a bit of a lay off as well.

Best news though is that wife is finally home after 2 months. Its been a long time and i dont do real well without her. That old saying behind every successful man is the support of a great women is so true, i tend to flounder about without her. Those slaps across the head keep me on track. Talking about on track my other training partner (not wife) is kicking goals big time. Man the chick is getting seriously strong, a bit intimadating we reckon, even if she is only 5′4. We are changing things up for 3 to 4 weeks, going to a 5 x 5 routine just to get a bit of strength and mass before chrissy. And the extra rest wont hurt. Then it will be a 4 day split until mid feb, before going into pre contest mode.

The legs have suffered with having to take 4 weeks off from training them, but i feel confident enough to start again on monday, easy does it though. Oh yeah the jury is still out on the therapuetic steroid use. The gene essay came back negative, so some further investigation is required. The lack of testosterone didnt effect much today though, but really I hadnt seen the cheese and kisses (thats the missus) for 8 weeks, and well shes hot. hehehe.
