This week’s workout.

Yesterday, I had a great workout. Actually, I’ve had great workouts all week. Went to the gym Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday I added a new routine to my workout. On the days I do legs with the leg press I also do the Stairmaster. The REAL one. The one that has the revolving steps like an escalator. Fifteen minutes on that thing on the fat burner mode is brutal on the legs but for the first time in many months I finally feel soreness in the legs. So I’m starting to hit some muscle groups hard and that should kick start the fat burner process in the legs again. Yesterday, I did my back, my abs and then 40 minutes on the elliptical. One thing I’m noticing with all the cardio time I’m spending and the intense sweating I’m doing is the smoothness of my skin. A good sweat is GREAT for the skin. Gets those impurities out.

Update!

I’ve been hovering at 194lbs for the last two months and I know its because I was so happy I dropped 20lbs I went to maintenance mode with my exercising and eating verses fat burning mode. When I got on the scale about two weeks ago it said 196lbs so I knew then it was time to get back on the grind. Celebration time over losing 20lbs should have been over. I definitely look better than I did before and when I look at the earlier face picture I had on my profile and the one I have now I can see the weight loss. All my family and friends have seen it as well. My major goal now is dropping to 170lbs but my interim goal is 185lbs. I should get to 170lbs by the spring.  The other major problem which is a good problem is needing to buy clothes. I don’t have the kind of money to go out and repurchase a whole new wardrobe. See when you loose a dress size EVERYTHING gets too big at the same time. Funny how that works. My dresses, pants, pajamas, shirts, and undergarments are sized to fit me when I was bigger now they are all to big. I’ve been buying a few pieces here and there as I can afford them but wow refurnishing my wardrobe all at once is expensive. And I’m thinking well once I lose 20 more pounds I’ll be buying clothes all over again. I just need some interim clothes. When I last posted I was very much into the treadmill but now I’m 100% sold on the elliptical. Love that machine. I have this funny quirk where if I see a female in the gym using a piece of equipment that I don’t know how to use I decide that I’m just as capable as the next woman in the gym and will learn to use that equipment. If SHE can do it than I can do it too. That’s my motto. I saw a woman using the elliptical and she was fit. I decided I wanted to learn that machine and when I got on it the first time I almost fell off the thing. When I did manage to get my balance right I only stayed on it for 10 minutes before getting tired. I decided I would master this machine. Now I do 50 minutes. But back to my motto. I see a woman in the gym with the body I wish I had I figure if SHE can get that tight then I can to. Then I get motivated. I see men staring at a woman’s body in the gym I’m like if SHE can get those looks so can I. And oh my goodness don’t let a woman walk in wearing an awesome workout outfit!  That’s one of the reasons I’m heading to Sports Authority to buy me some more gear. My boyfriend thinks I’m strange in that my workout clothes are more stylish than my daily clothes. But I’m more competive in the gym than out the gym. The workout tops I have I bought when I first started loosing weight at the time one top fit and the other was too tight. Now one is too big while the other fits right. Time for a cool new top! 

Now that I’m able to move faster on the elliptical I’ve changed up my playlist and with my new playlist and my improved endurance I’m able to be on the elliptical for 50 minutes and my abs routine went from 4 minutes to 8 minutes.  So that’s my update these days.
