but now with a new hurdle. I still haven’t found a decent gym here, but now that is no longer the problem. I haven’t trained for a while and now I’m pregnant. Talk about frustrated.

I’ve lost it!!

Ok, it’s been ages since I’ve been on here. I was doing really well. Eating clean, exercising daily, but of late my life has been up heaved and I’ve fallen off my path. I’ve moved across the country to be with my boyfriend who works here. I’ve left my job, lost my routine and lost my gym. Most people would say just find another gym and start again, but its not that easy. I don’t know anyone here. I don’t know what the gyms are like, let alone where they are. I do know that there isn’t one close to where I live. The closest is at last a 10 min drive which I don’t really like. I moved in with my boyfriend, who is sharing the house with another guy. So there’s no room to have my own equipment to train at home. I was doing both at my previous house. I had training gear at home as well as a gym I went to daily.

Right now I’m doing a hunt around for either a Muay Thai place to train at or a good gym. If anyone on here reads this and lives in Perth - can you recommend a good gym. I’m East of Perth, in Stratton. Alternatively, if you want a training partner or feel like being a motivator for me, let me know!! I have no "fitness" friends here. All my boy’s friends drink, smoke and stay out all night. He’s also not a fitness person. I don’t want to end up with the 30 kilos I’ve lost, put back on but I’m getting there! I did measurements today and I’ve added centimetres to my hips and waist already.

If you want to help a girl get back on track, your help would be very much appreciated!!

Unmotivated

I felt totally unmotivated today at the gym. I was meant to weight train but I didn’t. I ran for 50 mins yesterday and only 15 today. Maybe I’m just exhausted?!? I don’t know. I do know that I’d love to have a training partner, so anyone that reads this and is in this area that would like a weight training partner, feel free to get in touch with me!!

What a day! Well actually it started yesterday. For some reason I have been bitten by the running bug. I just want to run and run long distances at that! The longest I have been able to run was like 4km in 25-30mins and it wasn’t continuous running.  So yesterday after spending 60mins on the treadclimber (like treadmill expect the tread it split and it moves up and down - like walking on sand) at max speed it allows 6.4km. I still had too much energy so I jumped onto the treadmill and ran for 20mins speed of 10km total distance of 3.17km.  I was pretty pleased with myself! Last night I decided that I want to be able to run 5km in 30mins. Based on the speed that I was running yesterday it was quite possible for me to do. Today I went to the gym with the idea to do intervals for 45mins aiming at building my speed and endurance to do 5km in 30mins. Instead I ended up on the treadclimber again (too many people!! ) for 25mins. Barely breaking a sweat on that thing now!! It’s getting so easy now.  By this time a couple treadmills freed up so off I hopped on to the treadmill, start into a run. 10km speed AND I kept it up for 30mins BUT the BEST thing, I did my 5kms!!! So now a new goal! Not aiming for distance this time, I’m aiming for time so it’s going to be 45mins. Since the gym is shut tomorrow for Easter ( not happy about that really) I’m having a rest day. Just going to do some stretching. I think I need it. I haven’t this exhausted and sore for ages!! Monday I’m going to aim for a 45min continuous run. If I can do that (which I should be able to do as long as I can get on the treadmill straight away and not other equipment first!) then I will aim at increasing my speed to 12km. I want to be able to run a minimum of 6km in 30mins. 

I’m currently looking for a new Muay Thai trainer. I’m going to check out a couple of local places over the next few weeks. I’m also going to look at fitting in 2 or 3 weight lifting sessions preferably in the mornings before work. AND I’m going to put my mountain bike in for repairs so I can start riding places rather than driving.

Talking about driving, I’m absolutely sure that my car suffers from flat tyre syndrome!! I’ve had more flat tyres with this thing than my other old car!! Today I was going to the shops and couldn’t work out way my car “slipped” around the bends. I went around a round-a-bout and heard a pop sound, stopped the car and had a look at my tyres, yep the rear passenger tyre was flat! Drove to the petrol station (yep that’s right on a flat tyre I drove the car stupid I know but I didn’t have a choice and I had driven about 15km on the flat already so who cares!! ) Pumped it up, and yep, its fine!! No punctures!! Well we’ll see if its ok tomorrow. If its not flat then that settles it, flat tyre syndrome!! Its happened before, the front tyre was completely flat, pumped it up and then it was fine!! Go figure!! My car is possessed!!

So that has been my Easter break so far!! Some good, some not!!

End of Month

I recovered from my non eating problem. I have no idea what it was. :(
Anyway I wanted to lose 5kgs by the end of the month and I did, so time for the next goal. Another 5kgs by the end of this month! :)

WTF?

Well, I work full time, and have it organised with the boss to finish early on Wednesdays for my Muay Thai sessions. Well, I get a phone call from my trainer - which I missed - at 1:33pm I rang back 10 mins later - No ans/ no voice mail. Figured he was in the middle of a session and if it was important he would ring me back. I didn’t hear anything so I finished work at my normal 2:30pm to head up to my session. I get there at 4pm. His car isn’t there, so I wait. And wait. I’m about to ring him when he rings me - conversation went something like this:
Him: I’m stuck in traffic, will be at least 30 mins and then I have to pick the kids up. I tried to ring you earlier to let you know I might not be able to make it.
Me: Yeah, I tried to phone you back.
Him: The phone was on silent. I was in the middle of a session. You haven’t left yet have you?
Me: (Thinking: WTF? my session was meant to be NOW! What do you mean I hope you haven’t left yet!! I’m sitting here waiting!! ) Yeah I have.
Him: Oh ****. I tried to ring. You should have rang me.
Me: I did.
Him: I’m really sorry. Can we re-schedule?
Me: Ahh, no. I’m working the rest of the week.
Him: Oh yeah. Shit. I’m really sorry. Next week. No stuffing around.

I mean what the ****!! Is he serious! He knows I work full time. He knows I’m always early for my sessions!! I would have known that I would be there already. And what his session went for 3 ****ing hours before he thought to ring me!! How the hell was I to know that he was ringing to let me know that he had to cancel. The thing that gets me is that if he would have rang me back earlier I could have worked that afternoon and taken time off elsewhere to do the session!  I was so mad. This is the second time he’s done it. I’m thinking I might have to find someone else to train with which suck because this guy was the international muay thai champion. Who better to train with then someone successful! Well, I might look at different places around here and see what happens.

So no session for me this week, but I have plenty of training I can do myself! And I will.

Oh, and on another note, my cutting plan for this month is not as easy or as successful as I had hoped! lol I’ve lost 2.5kgs, so half of what I want to lose by the end of the month - the problem: the end of the month is 8 days away! SO, 2.5kgs in 8 days. Damn I’m going to have to kick my own ass hard to manage that!! lol. Its all good. I’ll do it.

Needed a kick start

At the beginning of this week I decided to do a bit of a cutting diet - aiming for a 5 kg loss by April. Should be easy enough considering I’ve lost 1.5kg already. Mind you, I can’t wait for April and its only been a week!
Due to all the cardio I do for Muay Thai endurance I haven’t been weight training for, oh, about 2 months!! :( I lost my personal trainer before Christmas due to lack of money at the time and with that went my weight training. Not sure why, but I just didn’t bother doing it when I was at the gym. I just concentrated on the cardio (turned into a cardio bunny….. for the love of god WHY! lol). Well due to the rain we’ve been having, my Muay Thai trainer decided on Wednesday to give me a weight training session instead because he knows I need to get back into it. Felt really good after and still hit the gym afterwards and figured I’d be fine the next day since I don’t normally suffer from doms no matter how hard I train. OMG was I wrong!! Its now saturday and laughing still hurts my abs!! lol Its all good. :D I know its because I haven’t weight trained for a while, and I love the sore feeling so its all good. Well, it wasn’t on friday morning when I had to get out of bed to get ready for work and couldn’t get out of bed due to the pain! lol. :D

I’m stuffed!

Holy crap! I had Muay Thai today and I was stuffed! My trainer wasn’t able to do my session last week and due to starting work last week I wasn’t able to do it a different day, so I missed a week. I don’t know if its because of that or the fact I haven’t been strength training for a while but I did not last through the session! lol. By the end of it I was punching like a 2 year old!! 

On another note, I was just going through some photos on my computer and came across some old ones where I was heaps bigger than what I am now……..yuck!….. I can’t believe I looked like that! Maybe I should print it off and put it in the kitchen!! That’ll keep me motivated!!

I’m too tired to be doing this. I’m off to bed!

Serves me right……..

……..for being lazy!!!!!
I didn’t feel like hitting the gym this morning, so I figured I wouldn’t and just do a little extra tonight considering all the extra endurance training I’ve been doing the last week.

Well, If I would have gone this morning I would have noticed the flat tyre!!! I have no idea where I picked up the screw that is stuck in my tyre. But my mechanic is closed and I have to wait until the morning, which will mean I miss my morning session as well! Too say I’m not happy would be an understatement……mad at myself….. MOST DEFINITELY!!

I will never miss a session again due to laziness because this situation sucks!

Back to training!! Yay :)

Hello People!!     

Well the first day of 2007 was the first day since my sunburn that I was able to train again!!!! Wooooooohoooooo!!!! Damn I missed that feeling!

My sunburn is finally healing but I’m up to the third layer of skin that has peeled!!!  lol.

The week off did me absolutely no good what so ever!  I had my Muay Thai training on Wednesday and OMG  did I suck!! My cardio level fell so much it wasn’t funny!! So back to double cardio sessions for me. I can’t afford to let it slip I love Muay Thai too much.  I haven’t gotten back to weight training though. I’ll have to fit that back into before all my gains are lost!

Well I hope everyone had a terrific New Year!!! And I wish you all the best for 2007!
