I figured I would comment on something that I feel is becoming more and more ridiculous; Unclassy BodySpace photos. Here is my humorous outlook on this growing epidemic on BodySpace.com.

Now I’m a male who enjoys looking at attractive women as much as the next guy and I feel there is a time and place for everything, but the level of classy photos on BodySpace has reached an all-time low…as in gutter low.

Let’s start with the definition of classy. Classy: having or reflecting high standards of personal behavior. Now most people on here I have witnessed have class. They have worked hard to reach their goals or are still in the process and like to show what they have accomplished so far and do so in a CLASSY way. And I feel this is for both men and women on BodySpace. These people are usually showing off muscle or loss of fat in a certain area in a sort of celebration. I’ve done it and I’m sure you have as well and feel this should be encouraged to get positive feedback or constructive criticism to help keep us motivated. More power to you! Keep up the great work. Then there are the select few who, I feel, cross the line for THIS SITE.

How about the definition for unclassy. Unclassy: not classy; lacking in good taste or sense; crude. This would be the smaller, but growing, number of people who feel it necessary (men and women) to show more than the accomplishments they have made in THE GYM.

A few examples if I may…

The woman bending over to “show you her glutes”, wearing dental floss, with the leg propped up on the bed, and looking at you from between her legs. Classy? No.

The guy (yes I look at the guy pictures because muscles are muscles and let’s face it, you gotta give props where they are due) who is giving you the FULL frontal in his birthday suit, with the fig leaf “covering” his manhood, yet you can tell what religion he is. Classy? Uh, Nope.

The, clearly enhanced, woman who is “smuggling raisins”, with the water soaked “wife beater” on showing off…something? Classy? Do we really need to ask?

I could go on and on and the perpetrators know who they are and what they are doing. But why? To get the most friends? The most comments? Cause the most ruined keyboards? This should not be a goal for them! We need to stand up, after we are done "standing up", and give support to those in need.

So, I will make a suggestion to those of you who like to show off your panty hamster/sweater kitten/man-berry muscles…get an adultfinder account and post your pics there. You probably would get A LOT more replies, friends, comments, phone calls in the middle of the night, stalkers, and crazed lunatics than you would know what to do with. You know, the positive feedback you are craving. Anyway…

So, with the closing of this lesson I hope the non-offenders found a little humor in my rant and the offenders will take pride and email me the pics you felt were too reveling for BodySpace. ;o)

Well, I am over this mind funk with my workouts finally. Because of my new work schedule I have been forced to pretty much lift at night. This was very hard to get used to considering I’m a night owl and I am drained by 7. Anyways, I started taking creatine about two weeks ago and I am sure this has helped with having a little more energy for the night time lifts. For the first two weeks I took 7.5 grams three times a day; Morning, pre-lift, and post-lift. Now that my two weeks are over I am just doing 5 grams pre and post-lift. Any of you out there take it? Any thoughts on it? How often do you take it and when? Post your comments please!
As far as the "Six Pack Attack" thing goes…I have been cheating on my meals way too much to get close to what I wanted in the six weeks I alloted myself. My abs are definately showing more than when I started but I know I am not being serious enough about it right now. I think once I get past July 4th I’ll be in a mind set to start it up again. I hope to gross myself out on food over the weekend.

Well, That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Until next time I hope all of you reach your goals and have a safe and fun 4th!!!

I have been in this mind funk, ever since I got sick, about working out. I am just flat out not motivated or in the mood at all. I think part of it is with my work schedule being changed and not working from home as much. This leads me to having to go after work hours and the gym is packed, I’m tired, and I just feel blah.

I know, I’m crying over nothing. i should be happy I can still have time at the end of the day to do something but it’s not the same.

Anyway, I felt like putting this down so i can see what a baby I am and i can get over it. Did it work? No. but maybe my views will change by Saturday when I do my usual Thursday routine and Sunday when I do my Friday routine…

If you would have asked me a year ago how I would have felt if I missed a day or a whole week of working out, I would have said no big whoop. But I have been sick since Sunday and have not worked out once this week just to get rid of this crap ASAP and I am going out of my mind.

I never thought working out would be this high on my "want to do" list, but it is.

Anyway, I am at the tail end of my cold and I don’t want a relapse so I am taking the rest of the week off, getting plenty of rest, and getting ready to make up for a few steps lost this past week.

Well, it’s been a while since my last update. My work schedule has changed a bit and has prevented me from getting the most from my workouts. I seriously need to rethink my days and times I will be able to go to the gym. I don’t feel I am getting the most out of the time I am spending there. That’s another story…

Anyway here are my current stats: Lost one more pound and I am down to 164 and I lost another .4% of body fat bringing me down to 12.4%.

I don’t feel I am sticking to my "abs diet" as well as I should be and It’s time to buckle down and get serious. I will say my abs are definitely showing more but the lower area still needs to lose more fat. I am prolly at what you would call a 4 pack now. I will try to post an updated picture tomorrow morning but who knows how that will go.

Till then thanks for reading, leave a comment if you wish, and say a prayer for this fat to go to hell.

Many months ago, after a work out, I was flexing in the mirror at home (this was right around the time I was starting to notice my muscles actually showing) and my 7 yr old came around the corner, looked at me, and got the "deer in the headlights" eyes. I said, "I’m getting bigger, aren’t I?". And my son said, "Whoa, I can tell you’ve been working out…You’ve gotten MUCH TALLER!"
Thanks, bud. I’ll never forget that day.

I have updated my progress picture and can actually tell a difference from the first. The new diet is easier to stick to than I originally thought. It does help when you work from home. Making 3 meals for the office is no easy task in the morning.

Today was the first day in a long time I jogged. I completed about two miles and it felt pretty good. Only thing is, I have legs tomorrow and I have a feeling I might be a little sore. Oh well, I will get over it.

That’s all for now. Next update in another 7 days.

I didn’t complete half the exercises I wanted to, wasn’t focused at all, and just wanted to leave the moment I walked in.

Now today was a different story. Had lots of sleep and got in the gym around 1. Moved to the next level of weight in all exercises and almost completed every single rep. Amazing how the time of day and the amount of sleep the night before affects you.

So it’s been about 4 days now and I am at the point where the new diet is starting to test me BUT I am passing with flying colors. I picked my wife up some soup from Carrabba’s last night and they always give you that half loaf of bread. OH THAT BREAD!!! It’s deadly. But I resisted. Something I have never been able to do in the past. Also, the kids got pizza…and ordered Hawaiian pizza. Damn those kids! But again, something I have NEVER done before, I ate zero slices. None. Nada. I looked at it and started making my egg white omelette with sliced grilled chicken breast and never looked back.

Ahh. To have such will power never possessed before by myself is a great feeling.

Back to the "Attack". I’ve been doing a number of different ab exercises every night hitting all 5 regions. As crazy as it sounds I am already seeing an improvement in the upper abs, which is expected just not this soon. The lower abs will obviously be the tough cookie to crack. I don’t expect them to come over for a visit for at least another month or so. Anyway, I post my first updated photo to the progress page Monday. I guess that will show me how much progress I have made. Till then, just taking it one day at a time.

So today is day one of my quest to lose more body fat and add more of an abs routine to my workouts in order to get the six pack I’ve never had. I still have a few more chapters left in the book I am reading, "The Abs Diet" but I feel confident in the knowledge I already have with what I have read so far.

The book makes a lot of sense as far as foods to stick to in order to help burn more calories and fat, how many times to eat throughout the day, etc. I don’t think I will be using the books workout plan right now. Maybe in a number of weeks I will when I have to change my current routine, but I am definitely adding the abs exercises to my routine three times a week attacking all five regions per day. I’m also going to add back a little cardio three times a week as well. This has slipped off my routine due to time and lazyness. NOT ANY MORE MY FRIEND! Just some brisk walking or jogging for about 30 min. three times a week is plenty for me.

Weighing myself this morning, I clock in at 168, My stomach looks flat (as it always does first thing in the morning) no signs of abs in a relaxed state and my upper "four pack" casts a slight shadow when flexed and I am pushing my lower belly down gently. No obliques show at all regardless of what I do. I hope to have some sort of "relaxed pack" in two weeks. Whether it be two or four I don’t care as long as I am making progress.

Well, that’s enough jibba jabba for now. I’ll update the blog as I see fit, maybe two or three times a week with a major update in six weeks. See you all then!

Someone add some raw oatmeal to this protein shake!!!
