A funny thing happened yesterday…
I was doing incline dumbbell presses and pushed myself a little too hard on a final rep and, near full extension, my left arm gave out and I wound up dropping a 60lbs. dumbbell on my leg. Not the greatest feeling in the world. There were only a few people in the gym at the time but I couldn’t tell what was bruised more, my pride or my leg.

I did the same thing with the 60s. It made a huge racket because it hit the side of the bench. How embarassing!

Ouch, sorry to hear about that bro! I haven’t done that in a while but I think I can judge my last rep and sometimes I just drop them last minute… I know not proper gym edicate but it saves my shoulder and pectoral.

I hope you had enough muscle on that leg to protect your thigh bone!
I had some rotator cuff problems and I didn’t know they would affect my lifts, expecially with incline presses… right near the end of the set, my left shoulder separated… talk about pain! …
there are some directions shoulders aren’t meant to rotate.
Now when I go big, I go get a spotter…
I have bailed on a few lifts - heck… even a squat once with 315#….. It made quite a racket, I got a lot of looks, but I saved my back.
Stay safe!
