I am Gonna Kick My A$$!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I am freaking out right now!

I have been a little lax in my diet in the last month.  I went to Rome and had Gelato, Tiramisu & the time of my life!  I went to MD with my girlfriends for 4 days & I’ve been hitting the Junior Mints almost daily…….95% of the time, I have been eating squeaky clean though!! I had a cupcake binge a week ago, but I knew I could drop the 5 pounds that I thought I was carrying easily. 

I have been barely sleeping for weeks & haven’t been eating every 3 hours like I usually do - I am just totally off of my rigid schedule……………….

Well — I just got up from a decent sleep (5 hours) and weighed myself.  I am up 10 pounds!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! I still can’t believe it!!!!  All that sugar finally caught up with my A$$.

I just keep thinking about the movie Liar, Liar when the guy walks into the bathroom & asks Jim Carey what he’s doing — and he says ‘I’m kicking MY a$$!!!’

I am so disappointed in myself!!!  Play time is OVER!!!! Game ON!!!!!

    I am taking the family to Rome for Christmas… note to self.. no gelato, no tiramisu… must not gain 10 pounds (LOL)… glad you had a good time time though!!!

    You obviously train to a higher level than I do, but you’re still allowed to splurge and enjoy some of the things you deprive yourself on every once in awhile. My guess–you’ll knock those 10lbs off easily and make even further gains than if you wouldn’t have put it on in the first place. 5 hours? Get some sleep too!

    Refocus girl and get back on track. Like you say, "don’t sweat the small stuff". Just get your a@@ to the gym and sweat off those pounds! Good luck!

    We must have slipped on the same banana peel last week. Im on my way back down. No doubt, 10 pounds didn’t even show on you, but I know how the scale tells on you. Can we just kill the scales?

    Don’t forget YOU are in control here… Think of it as a "refeed" and get back on plan.. I hear ya on the Jr. Mints, I had a binge last week.. I have no doubt you will be back to where you were in a week. Maybe it is all H2O!

    I love your honesty when you make your mistakes.I had a lovely wknd of sweets myself when i went to Mohegan Sun in CT(cookies,my weakness). So,like you i have to refocus and get back on track.YOU CAN DO IT!!!

    I’d have been disappointed in you if you didn’t enjoy Italy. You know you need to buckle down. Do it right, no quick fixes. Good luck, and get back on track. Keep moving forwards, and enjoy the journey.

    glad you enjoyed it. remember, when in Rome - eat pizza and gelato, with red wine.

    Hey girl…don’t sweat it. You will lose that 10 pounds in no time. :) Plus in Rome you gotta enjoy it all…it was worth it. You have to look at it as a ‘once in a lifetime experience’ so don’t knock yourself down sweetie. All you have to do now is get back on course…which you are doing so don’t worry yourself. :) Enjoy.

    feeling the same way - had two b’day parties at the house this past week. Overindulged in cupcakes, cookie-cakes, and icecream!! I guess we’ll be kicking A$$ simultaneously. :) See U on the other side……

    I have NO DOUBT you wull get back on track. And what better time, before the holidays! Do it now before December hits. That is my plan! I asm going to set my New Year’s resolutions in October instead of January! That way, when Christmas hits…I can have a few indulgences instead of kicking myself then!

    Eating sugar like that is ****ing stupid. You can binge on as many calories as you want as long as you avoid sugar. Sugar rots organs and muscle, including brain tissue because in excess it’s converted into simple glucose for mitochondrial fuel. Too much glucose in the cells of body causes acute oxidation and rapid aging.

    You can literally eat as much QUALITY food as you like. So dieting and portion control is pure nonsense. Quit carb cutting and searching for fun low-fat food. It will only make you crave sugar. Did I mention sugar rots the body? I meant that literally. I’m awesome. Take care.

    If I ever make it to rome, I’m having myself some gelato and tiramisu!!!! I don’t even care. You cannot go all the way there and not experience the food! It is part of the culture! So I say, good for you!!! (minus the junior mints…lol) Like you said, you know you can take off 5 lbs so certainly you can do that twice and take off 10!
