Have been trying to gain some mass - have increased the calorie intake, and protein intake, but seem to be losing weight. As I am pretty clueless on the whole thing - any comments how to gain solid mass would be helpful.

Just added creatine into my programme this week, so hoping to see some results from that. Things are going pretty well although I need to do more leg work as my calves look terrible.

Back from Florida - went to Golds gym a few times, have put on a little weight, but not too much. Managed to get some supplements at half the price they are here, which is good. So hope they help with the training. Now need to hit the gym hard again.

Off to Florida for a week - the challenge is not to eat too much and to do some training instead of lying by the pool!!
I think I have been doing well with the weight loss, but now seem to be getting skinny, so not sure where to go next with training and should I be taking different supplements to gain mass and definition?

Its a real help to have friends on this website who take an interest in my training - It gives me added incentive to get to the gym and work hard. So a thank you to them - for that.
Now - a question this week is what the best excercise to build up the calves - mine are not good at all!

Have been on a healthier diet now for one week -my weight has dropped a little, which is good, although I still need to be more organised in meal planning and get a few more meal ideas. Training is going ok, trying to push myself a little harder, vary my excercises and use slightly higher weights. Would be good to have a training partner.

Today’s the day that the changes to the diet start - will be eating six healthy meals a day rather than 3 large unhealthy ones(with snacks in between), and also give whey protein powder a try.

Well, went to the gym this morning and tried to get my body -fat % reading, using hand held electronic device. They have two different brands. The first said my body - fat was 8.1 the second said it was 23.4. No way am I - 8.1, but it is difficult to know what it is at the moment with two such widely different figures.

Hi all, probably going to sound like a complete idiot, but here goes - I currently just use creatine, but would like to gain more muscle definition and bulk up a bit. Anyone got any recommendations on what the best supplements would be, also suffer from high cholesterol and underactive thyroid, so not sure of safety issues with supplements. Ask you can tell bit of a novice here although I am getting on a bit(45)
