Approaching Men At The Gym

Do you men like women to approach you in the gym or not?  I don’t have many opportunities to meet guys so, my options are on-line dating or the gym, lol.  Been doing the on-line thing for about 1.5 yrs now and it’s not really working.  Maybe I’m just on the wrong sites.  I’m not meeting quality men on-line.  The majority are just womanizers and looking for a "fun" time.

I’ve been at my gym now for 7 weeks and just now I’ve started saying hi to people I see regularly, men and women.  So, there’s an older gentleman that goes there on the same days and times as me and I look forward to seeing him everyday.  For an older guy, he’s HOT!  He’s my eye candy when I’m there, but beyond that he knows what he’s doing when it comes to weight training so, I watch him and learn some techniques.  I’ve been wanting to chat with him for awhile now, but he’s always concentrating so hard that I don’t want to interrupt him.  Do you guys care if women interrupt you while you’re pumping iron?  Anyway, today I finally was close enough to him and he had just finished a set and the first thing that came out of my mouth was, "Have you always worked out?"  We ended up chatting for a good 15 minutes or so.  Got his name and he told me he was 57!  He’s so HOT and yes, I have had naughty thoughts about him.  He wasn’t wearing a wedding ring.  I’d totally go out on a date with him if he asks.  I’m hoping now that we’ve broken the ice we’ll talk more.  He could very well be married though.  Most likely that is the case. He’s old enough to be my dad, lol.

Ok, so why is it that now that I’m not quite at my heaviest weight ever, but still overweight I’m getting contacted and approached by body building type guys?  Not necessarily on this site, but on others.  When I was in my 20’s and was fit and had a 6-pack these muscular men never approached me.  I don’t get.  I will say that I’m a lot more confident now in my 30’s than I was in my 20’s, but I definitely looked way better back then.  I thought muscle type guys would only be interested in women who also take great care of themselves and weight train as well.

I’m completely wiped out right now.  Decided to do 30 mins of cardio after my weight training for the first time and I’m spent.  Normally i do cardio first and then train.  It could be that I worked out pretty hard last night and didn’t give my body enough time to recover.  Just want to sleep right now, but can’t because I have classes today from 2-10 pm.

First day of training tomorrow!

I’m so excited for my first day of training tomorrow!  My goal is to do a minimum of 40 mins of cardio on the elliptical machine and one hour of weight training.  Getting to the gym will be the hardest part, but once I’m there it’ll be golden.  They say it takes 30 days to make something become a habit.  Hopefully the habit of going to the gym 5-6 days per week will stick way before the end of the 30 days.
