HOW MUCH for that ‘new’ knee?!!!
Ok, I checked out the cost of my new ACL…I had reconstructive surgery 18 days ago. Wow! All I’ll say is some alternative of funds use include: a year at an ivy league university, a sports car (albeit American-lol), and a nice down payment on a home. Thank God for the insurance coverage. The actual financial hit, incurred by me, was a blessing.
Well, back to my at-home re-hab exercises. I was just taking a mid-point break to elevate my knee to minimize swelling.
By the way, I hit the gym yesterday (first time in 18 days). I did back, triceps and abs.
Cheers!

Keep your head up. Everyone that I have known who has gone through what you have came back stronger, better, faster in one way or another. I’ll be rooting for ya!

Thanks All,
I am now 4 weeks post-operative procedures and feel pretty darn good. Still need 10 degrees for leg to be totally straightened out (relaxed)…and I can make greater than a 90 degree bend/flexion unassisted. I\’m starting to \"walk\" more normally (with brace), I\’ll take it as dr. prescribes…it seems to be working. Thanks Again for the words of encouragement.

I’m out of the knee brace as of last Thursday - 8 weeks post op. My left leg is strong enough to support me on crutches - I had foot surgery Friday. May the gains continue…WhoHooooo!!!
