At it again….this time a new workout routine - CrossFit Training
Sunday, September 20th, 2009Yes, I got sidelined from previous weight training success with a blown out hernia. Have to be honest here but it hurt. The surgery to repair it needless to say set me back and got me down on lifting heavy. My squats did me in. I love doing them but body said no….I got discouraged and never got back to training until today.
What happened??? My health is up to me and without it my whole life is effected negatively. I came across CrossFit Training websites and they got me inspired to get back into shape. This time using MIIT(Moderate Intensity Interval Training) and Cross training with Bodyweight and calisthenics exercises with some light weightlifting. Starting out slow so as to not overtrain or injury myself again.
Today, my workout was MIIT of jumpingjacks - 30 seconds x9 with rest at 30,30,60,60,90,90,90,90 seconds.
Then 2 sets at 8 and 9 reps. of 25 lbs. dumbells squat-clean-overpress movements, my creation exercise (probably someone has it listed on some exercise list but I have not heard of it yet).
I was worked-out very good…felt pumped and winded at the same time…again it felt very good….more to follow.
