Leadership that inspires
is one of my reasons for wanting to get in shape and prove that you can take control of your health and your life. Some of you already know that I create, implement, and run various wellness programs as part of my job. How can I expect the employees to take their own health and wellness seriously, if I, the person running the programs, dont get mine under control? I have to walk the talk. I dont want to be a hypocrite. How can I recommend eating clean and exercise if I dont practice what I preach? I have consider becoming a personal trainer. Who would want to take advice from me if I dont fit the part? Think about it. Would you take a fat pt seriously? I want my kids to grow up with a healthy foundation towards eating and exercise. How can I tell them to eat their vegetables and be active when I munching on ruffles and cheese dip in front of the tv.
I want to inspire and motivate people to take control of their health. I want to be a leader worth following. When I say that obsticles can be overcome, I want them to see me as living proof. I have 35 weeks to prove to myself and my team that I can do this. I will accomplish this. Wait for me at the finishline.

that is a very good outlook on that and should be elementary. but it seems that some try to tell ppl how and what to when it comes to fitness and exercise when they look like that sit on the couch eatin chips and ice cream all day. I dont understand that. But you can do it. it take dedication and discipline

Well you inspire me already Stef, you have such a great outlook on life. I know that you can do anything you set your mind to. You are a true pillar of strength, in more ways than one.

Steph you are so awesome!! I wish more people had your attitude. That is one of the very reasons I quit smoking when I first became a father because I knew that I could not tell my kids not to smoke if I did….I know this because I remember thinking how much bull it was when my father told me that while puffing on a cig. As always Steph a Grrrrrrrreat! Blog!!

Yes I asked myself the very same questions and got the same answers. There is no way anyone can take you for serious if you are not serious. I also have a feeling we can cross the finish line together.

I agree totally! I am ready for that Journey! Lets all cross the finish line together!

Health Care professionals around the world need to understand this very thing. How many times have I seen healthh care professionals out of shape and smoking. After we see first hand what smoking diseases does to a patient. Take it from me, dying from emphysema is the worst death on earth. It’s slow, and painful. Just imagine wanting to breath but can’t.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’ll be waiting at the finish line throwing pom poms like crazy!
You go, Steph - nothing can hold you back!
