Well I am glad this week is almost over. Car trouble, kid getting sick, fighting with lover, and gym time being so so are just a few of the highlights. My best workout of the week was last night. Really hit the legs hard. Squats were kinda of sucky. Couldnt get the depth that I wanted. Everything else was good. I am getting ready to record it in my workout tracker.
I am still very excited about the transformation contest. With all the wonderful stories, I hope I posted a good enough reason for them to choose me. There are two more weeks before the lucky ones are announced. If you havent check out the thread please do so.

The tramp stamp discussion
Over Thanksgiving I went to spend some time with family and friends. We were hanging out in the kitchen when Darren spots his cousin tramp stamp and says something to her. Now her parents were in the room and apparently they didn’t know she had it. So she looks up at Darren and just says thanks a lot. She is then told to turn around so that the rest of the people in the room can see it. She is quite embarrasses at this point.
Her parents proceed to ask a question like, “Why would you get a tattoo there, no ones going to see it?” Her husband is setting next to her blushing a nice cherry red color which brightens when Darren points to him and say, “Well he will!” To help relieve the embarrassment I state that I am getting one next year and a friend of mine is drawing it for me. I was trying to get the discussion to change focus slightly. You know go toward more of what the design is going to be or about my friends artwork.
Now her father looks at Darren and asks, “Do you know this friend?” Darrens reply was “No. It’s a friend of hers.” The father then asks, “So your going to let some guy draw on her butt? You don’t have a problem with it.” Darren calmly states, “There is a big difference between drawing on the ass and taping the ass.” Everyone in the room busted out laughing. The original couple turned the brighest shade of red that I had ever seen. I laughed all the way home.

Day started off rough. Car wouldnt start. Guess I am going to have to hand over some money to the shop to get it fixed. Not looking forward to it. Who does? LOL. Running behind so cardio didnt happen. Will try to get some in after my weight training this afternoon. Motivation is high. Diet will be good today.
There is so many wonderful successes that take place here daily. I cant help but stay excited about this lifestyle. Can you? Sure we may not be to the finishline yet but we are making so many positive steps in the right direction. Just look around and soak up all that positive energy. Stay strong. Train hard. Eat Clean. I am cheering for your success.

is one of my reasons for wanting to get in shape and prove that you can take control of your health and your life. Some of you already know that I create, implement, and run various wellness programs as part of my job. How can I expect the employees to take their own health and wellness seriously, if I, the person running the programs, dont get mine under control? I have to walk the talk. I dont want to be a hypocrite. How can I recommend eating clean and exercise if I dont practice what I preach? I have consider becoming a personal trainer. Who would want to take advice from me if I dont fit the part? Think about it. Would you take a fat pt seriously? I want my kids to grow up with a healthy foundation towards eating and exercise. How can I tell them to eat their vegetables and be active when I munching on ruffles and cheese dip in front of the tv.
I want to inspire and motivate people to take control of their health. I want to be a leader worth following. When I say that obsticles can be overcome, I want them to see me as living proof. I have 35 weeks to prove to myself and my team that I can do this. I will accomplish this. Wait for me at the finishline.

Everyday I remind myself why I want to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle and transform my body into the healthy image I visualize for myself. Although I have been doing this for several months now, it takes a daily reminder to keep me on track-to remind me to make each workout count and each meal nutritious. Several times a day I have to make a conscience decision on what my actions and thoughts will do for my goals. Will they push me forward or make me take two steps back? One day I hope these choices will come as natural as breathing. Until then I will keep reminding myself why I do the things I do.
On my birthday, I made a decision that I will have a healthy and strong body that I can be proud of by my next birthday. I have made some strides forward but I realize that I need to tighten things up and crank up the intesity. I need to push myself harder for the next thirty five weeks.
I think that is one reason I am so excited about the 2008 transformation contest. It will give me the shove I need to make the big changes. I have asked a friend to help me tighten up my nutrition. I know my diet is my weakest link. With his help and my dedication, I know the twelve weeks of transformation will be nothing short of spectacular. When the contest is over, I will continue for another twelve weeks. Each cycle will bring me closer to the the finish line. By July 2008, I will have a 15% bodyfat level. This will be the year I take back my life and my body. I will be strong. I will be healthy.
Thirty five weeks is not that long. I will have to stay motivated and dedicated towards my goal. If you, my friends, sense that I am straying from the path, please kick me in the butt to get me going again. I dont have time to stray. If you have not stop by the 2008 bodyspace transformation thread, make a trip there. See all the hopefuls, voice your opinion about who should make the five, and cheer for everyones success. Its a great source of inspirtion and motivation. Train hard. Eat Clean. Be Strong.

I know I am addicted. I couldnt go the whole weekend without stopping by to see what my friends are up to. I have had a wonderful time so far. Good food, relaxation, and exercise have been included in my holiday. The pumpkin pie was well worth waiting for all month. I also made peanut butter cookies. I know what your think. Dont back track all in one weekend. Believe me when I say I am not.
I made to gym each and everyday. Had to call in a few favors to get to the gym on Thanksgiving but I got a good workout in for the eating began. (my gym was closed) Enjoyed spending time with family and friends too. Its the people in our lives that make it truly special and we should be thankful for those that bless us.
Went to an ACDC concert. Ok maybe we didnt see it live but it was a great video. Almost felt like we were there. Nothing better than dancing around acting like a fool in the privacy of your own home. I am getting ready to go on a bike ride on the KATY trail. Yesterday we took a couple of mile hike. It was beautiful getting out in the forest. A little cool but the leaves made the trip worth it.
Well that sums up my holiday this far. Hope your enjoying yours.

I was suppose to hit the gym today but thought I better wait until after seeing the doctor and getting the blood drawn. lol I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you that has offered morale support. It is greatly appreciated.
With the comments that I have received here (over 600), this inconsiderate person has no power over my attitude or my ability to improve. I know where I have been (64 pounds fatter) and I know where I am going (on my way to being fly). The only person that is going to make that change is me. I believe in myself enough to know that I can do this. I have a great support team and I have the knowledge to continue the battle against fat.
We all make choices everyday. There was a time that my choices were not good ones. I let everything come before myself and my health. I made an active decision to change that and I am. Once you make that decision, you start to become aware of the excuses you used to stay the way you are. It so much easier to stop at McDonald on the way home. That person thinks I am fat so I must be. I dont have time to exercise. You then have to make an active decision to overcome them.
I refuse to let some insignificant person change my choices. Not everyone is going to like me. Thats a fact that I learned in kindergarten. It doesnt bother me. I dont have to be a friend to all. I know I am rambling so I guess my point is dont let someone else determine what you can do and how happy you are. They only have that power when you give it to them. Stay strong. Train hard. You have the power to be what you want to be. PS. I still go to McDonalds on the way home….to rent movies at the redbox. LOL

After 600 plus comments, I have received my first rude comment. Dont worry it really doesnt bother me. I know I have come a long way and will continue to do so. Its obvious that this one negative person doesnt understand the community here.
I was proud of myself for replying politely. Here is my comment:
"Obviously you cant read before you make rude comments. I may not be in top shape but I am damn well on my way. I am proud of my accomplishments. It appears you dont even have the common curtesy to set up a complete profile. If you think your better than the rest of us here, you are not going to find this site useful."
I think it sums it up. This is a supportive community. This guy obviously doesnt realize that I can bench 200 pounds. So he can just kiss my ass. I am as much a bodybuilder as the next person. We are all here building better bodies.
So for those of you that receive a negative remark. Tell them to blow you. You are making positve steps and you belong here just as much as the next person.

I hope everyone enjoys there holiday and if you dont celebrate Thanksgiving I hope you enjoy the weekend. This will be my last post until Monday. I know five days with out an encouraging comment is going to be hard but I promise I will stay on track and I expect you too.
Had a great workout yesterday. Chest and shoulders are still a little sore from last weeks heavy lifts. Logged my first workout tracker. It was very easy. There is no cardio section though. Guess we can live with that. LOL
In the spirit of Thanksgiving. I would like to say that I am thankful of this site. It has helped me come farther than I thought possible. I am also thankful for my friends here. You have brightened my days and kicked my butt when it was needed. The laughs were great too.

Good Morning all. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I got in a couple of cardio sessions so I feel pretty good about it. I took some progress pictures and will upload them today.
I thought quite a bit about the 2008 Transformation Challenge this weekend and I must say I am quite motivated about it. For those of you that went to the thread and recommended me, I greatly appreciate it. I was deeply touched with all the comments. There are around 35 that have signed up for the challenge to date. That gives me a 1 in 7 chance of being chosen. There are a lot of great people who will make wonderful challengers. Please check it out and voice your opinion about who you think should be chosen. It cant hurt. If you signed up, please make sure you put your two cents about why you want to participate. Take the time to put in a good application. I need so good competition.
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. I know I shouldnt be this damn excited over a contest that will bare my shame of letting my body get so out of shape but I cant help it. It has given me so much hope and motivation to make some great improvements.
Oh and Ninja and BG, thanks for kickingme in the butt about my profile pic. It up to stay, at least until a better one is taken. LOL
