Bite Me Warning

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Today is a Halloween.  Thats right.  Jack o Lanturns, trick or treaters, fabulous parties, and candy.  Now I want you guys to enjoy your holiday but heed the warning on the candy.  Stay away from those little candy bars. They are called "bite me size" for a reason.  You take a bite and they take a bite back and hang on you ass for a while.  Do your self a favor and avoid them at all cost.  You dont want to be walking around and have people behind you whispering "Boy you can tell she didnt stay out of the candy jar.  Look at how big her butt has gotten and those thighs cant stop wiggling."   I know what your thinking, One little tiny candy bar is not going to make a difference.  I beg to differ.  Can you eat just one?  No you cant.  Now you have all the "little bite me" size candy bars stuck all over.  You have been eating clean all this time and your going to let some little bite of chocolate ruin your progress.  Heed the warning.  Stay away from the candy.  Go eat an apple.

Happy Halloween.  This witch is brewing up some trouble tonight.  Care to join me?

When you start out on the road to being health there are so many bumps in the road and paths to take.  You have to learn so many things.  Identify your bad habits.  Learn how to replace them with good ones.  You have to develop ways to stay motivated and pushing forward.  Develop a support group.  Your constantly learning about nuitrition, exercise, the "healthy" lifestyle, and yourself.  Its so easy to get overwhelmed and not know where to begin.

They say that successful people read at least four nonfiction books a month on the subject that they are trying to excel in.  After looking at the successful people here, I was wondering what they read.  So let me know.

As far as myself, I read just about any fitness magazine I can get my hands on.  I also have read Body for life, Eating for Life, and the Eating Clean Book.  Thanks to a friend of mine I obtained a copy of Feed the Muscle Burn the Fat. (outstanding book).  The Success Principles and Seven Habits of Highly Successful people also rank high on my reading list.  So whats your recommendation?

Do you feel like just another name on the list?

Monday, October 29th, 2007

I have had someone ask me recently if I was just a “friend” collector. I guess that is a legitimate question. I have just added number 76 on my bodyspace.  I guess there are a lot of people out there that just add people and never actually take the time to get to know them.  My response… ask any of my friends.  See if any of them feel as if they are just another name on my list or if I actually take an interest them.

I believe in order to be successful you need to surround yourself with successful people and people who are willing to take an interest in your success.  I firmly believe that every time I encourage someone, I get encouraged.  When my friends are successful, I feel successful.  I truly want each of them to succeed…to reach their goals.

I promise you that each of my friends are important and I make sure I do what I can to encourage them.  All seventy six will receive at least one comment from me each week.  Sure it takes me almost an hour and half to go through all of them.  But for me that is time well spent.  It motivates me as well as them.  How can I offer them anything if I don’t take the time to get to know them? I laugh with them. I cry with them.  I pray for them.  I celebrate with them.  What more can you ask for from a friend?

100 entries

Monday, October 29th, 2007

I just realized that I have made 100 journal entries with my post earlier today.  That is quite an accomplishment for me.  I never was one that was great about writing in a journal. I would do it for a week and then set it aside for a few month before I would pick it up again.  I have never been a good penpal either.  So I think I will celebrate this accomplishment.  Care to join me? LOL

The weekend

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Had the best time this weekend.  Friday it was rainy and cold. Rainy and cold days are good for two things-working out and cuddling.  I did both.  LOL  You know me- Mrs Overachiever.  Watch Knocked Up too.  That movie cracked me up.  Saturday I hit the gym in the am and met up with some friends midmorning.  Five hours of rollercoasters made up my afternoon.  Had a blast.  Felt like a kid all day.  That night went out for some drinks.  Nothing overboard.  Sunday I hung out with my brother.  He needed help replacing a footing on his barn.  Got in plenty of exercise.  Overall, weekend was relaxing and definitely gave me a recharge to get back in the groove.  Logging  on and finding lots of comments, a couple of pms, and two new freinds wrapped up the weekend nicely.  Thanks. You guys are the best.

Good morning all.

I wanted to offer something meanful today.  You know something that just hits home and helps propel us forward in our goals.  Unfortunately, I started today off running late so I missed my am cardio.  I do a lot of reflecting and thinking about my goals and affirmations while running as well as making a decision about what I want to blog about.  Its almost like a spiritual endevor.  I figure if you have to be there running you can make good use of the time by really ingraining your goals in your brain and reflecting on your progress.  We all know that cardio can get boring at times.  Its up to us to use it to our advantage.  The time on the treadmill really helps me get in the zone for the day.  It wakes my body up, gets my blood pumping and my mind focused.  I will miss that today.  Tonight I will hit back.  Gonna use those plates I stole from Ninjabills garage.  LOL

Talk about life getting in the way of things.  Last night did not go as planned.  Went to leave for the gym and car wouldnt start.  Got it going made it to the gym and it took a little bit to get focused.  Still got in a great lower body workout just took a little longer.  Went home hoping to have a nice relaxful evening and found out I had parent teacher conferences.  By the time those were over with, dinner had to be made and then it was time for bed.  Where does the time go?

Also found out my father had another heart attack.   My mother seems to think I should be upset over it.  My father has never been a part of my life.  What should I feel for someone that has never been there?    I feel the same as if it were a co-workers parent that had a heart attack.  Its nothing personal.  The man chose his course in life and it did not include me.  Sorry it happened but it really doesnt concern me.  I have no regrets.

With that all said.  I have nothing meanful to offer with the exception of "life happens"

I cant believe how far I have come in such a short times.  It really does help to get your priorities straight and learn about yourself.  Everyday I am making positive steps forward.  I know that right now I am still running on the high from yesterday measurements or the D4 that has rock my world but I know deep down I am really doing this.  The little things that you feel along the way are what count.  The clothes fitting different.  Feeling that muscle you didnt know existed.  Better yet finally seeing that muscle.  Feeling sick with the thought of having to go to a fast food restruant.  That inner joy you feel when someone compliments you.  The glow.  When you actual enjoy competing with yourself to break your own run time or distance.  The sense of accomplishment of having to add another plate to the bar.  the satisfcation when you know you made the right nutritional choices today.  The list goes on.  Its called enjoying the journey.

Progress is happening

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

I just updated my measurements and new pics.  Down a total of 7" and 4.2% body fat.  Here I was getting all discouraged over nothing.  The next four weeks are going to be intense.  Interval cardio is scheduled daily, karate class tonight, and intense fast pace weight training each weekday is planned and ready to implement.  Diet will be strict and clean.  Motivation is soaring through the roof.

Started taking D4 on Saturday.  That stuff is actually giving me so much energy and no crashes.  Saturday had a kick as day in the gym.  Worked both back and legs.  Felt my glutes all weekend.  What a wonderful feeling.

I am doing something that I usually find is a waste of my time and money. I have decided to take a fat burner.  I tried them before.  Most of them dont do anything for me.  I blame it on years of albuterol.  I have a friend at GNC.  She recommended D4 Extreme.  Took my first dose this morning.  Boy it is rocking my world.  Now I know that there is no magic pill that is going to get me into shape but I really think this is just going to add a new level of intensity for me.  Help me push out an extra set or run a little farther.
