Deadlifts and the journey.

I made it to the gym yesterday.  Did you doubt that I would?  Yea I thought about skipping.  You know it was deadlift day.  I didnt. I hung tight.  I pumped out those reps 12 @ 135, 12 @ 135, 1 @ 225 (just screwing around to see if I could do it), 2 @ 205, 10 at 185.  I made it through.  Yea, I could not stand the thought of letting you guys down.

Today. Am cardio is being served in 20 minutes.  Have to go work up to that 10K. LOL  Tonight will be an off day for weights.  Plan on hitting the gym tomorrow.

Music was buzzing in my ears.  "Break free and run" was my mental focus power words today.  I felt like I was flying.  Ok we really know I cant fly, especially those flying side kicks they are trying to get me to do in Karate class.  But I felt like it anyway.  The feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment settled over me as I began the cool down.  I was truly enjoying the journey today.   Cant wait until tomorrow.

Body blogs.  What a wonderful tool.  Yea, I probably read yours.  I may or may not have commented.  But you know what, I am sure I was inspired or motivated.  It is part of my daily mental game that I play with myself.  I read. I see success. I see frustrations.  I see hard work and sweat.  I see obsticles overcome.  I see friends reaching out to each other with words of encouragement, ideas, and explainations. It makes me want to push. It makes me want to get out there is run a 10k.  Ok, maybe not quite a 10k yet.  You guys keep me accountable.  Keep me motivated.  Keep me laughing.

 There I said it.  I need you. I hope you need me too.  Its ok. I wont tell.

Alright! I know you will be disappointed but I missed my am cardio today.  I will try to make it up later. I have a really good excuse.  I was checking up on my friends here and lost track of the time.  I had to pass out some encouragement and kicks in the butt.  I had to do my part. Friendship is not a one way street.  You guys do it for me. 

 Tonight I will be hitting back, bis and tris.  Not looking forward to those deadlifts but I will do them.  Yes, I know they are good for me.  I will put forth 100% effort even if I am cussing and scream inside about how much I hate them.  Yes, I tried to tell myself that they are that bad. I tried to take it with a spoonful of sugar but it did nt work.  I hate them. They hate me.  We agree and just pump them out.  I always feel sick to my stomach when I am done. Got to go.  Train hard today.  Make me proud.

Conditioner does not make good toothpaste.

I cranked out my cardio.  Visualized throughout the program.  The time flew by.  Hit the showers.  Working through the rest of my day in my brain while I am washing my hair.  Making the shopping list in my head.  Its the first day of inventory and I had to pickup the fruit and bagels.  How many do I need?  I really hate shopping.  Got to brush the teeth.  (Yea I do it in the shower when I am at the gym.)  Grab the toothpaste, squart it on the brush.  Got to finish those month end reports.  Caterers coming at 11.  Glance down…What the hell…That dont look like my toothpaste.  Then it hit me, I grabbed my condition (comes in a tube similar to tooth paste).  No I had not put it in my mouth yet.  Thankfully.  Thought you guys could have a good laugh at my expense.  Enjoy your day.

Last night I had a killer leg workout.  Thought I would be pretty sore today but I am not.  Hit leg curls, leg extensions, leg press, squats, lunges, plie squats, and calf raises.  Everything was 3 sets of 12.  Calf raise did a personal best with 200lbs. Woo hoo!

Getting ready to get sweaty.  AM Cardio starts in 15 minutes.    I have a busy day so I need to get things woke up  and ready to plow through todays issues.  Gym shirt today, "Some call it obsession, I call it a lifestyle."

I dont get it.

The other day, I had on one of my movational workout shirt.  It had a picture of a woman doing deadlifts with at statement that says, "Stay Weak! I need those plates anyway."  (Now I personal love this shirt as much as the one that says "I dont do pink dumbbells.")  I had a lady come up to me in the gym and say, "I dont get it".  Now this is not a lady that has just started, she has been coming in for a while.  I was just floored.  I didnt really know how to reply.  So I calmly took out the basic textbook for weight training and explained that a plate was a weight and if you aint lifting it, I will.  I felt kinda of mean. I am always willing to help anyone that asks but for some reason my gym rage must have been high.  So this is my apology to the lady that doesn’t know squat.

Yesterday was chest and shoulder day as well as karate class.  I had to wrap up a task at work so I did not get my workout completed at the gym.  I did get chest finished and what an exciting chest day it was.  I hit 135 seven times with no spotter.  I was hopped.  I know I will hit 150 by Christmas.  Besides the bench I hit the hammer machines for chest, db flys and pec dec.  Not my usual workout but enough to feel like I accomplished something.

 Karate class was great. I was glistening with in the first 10 minutes.  Decided I am not very good with the flying side kick.  Will have to practice that a lot.  Not certain if we were meant to fly.  the kids absolutely loved it.

Today is Leg day and I will be hitting am cardio soon.  Hope everyone is focused and training hard.

Today is back day for me. As much as I hate deadlifts, I will be hitting them hard.  I am almost starting to look forward to them.  I have an attitude today.  One that says "Bring it on. I can take it."  I wont feel sorry for anyone that decides to workout with me today.  I know that if they can hang, they will get one hell of a workout. Yea, I feel cocky.

My am cardio sessions this week have been off and on.  I dont feel bad about it.  I made it two days this week at 5am.  On Monday night, I worked it well for an hour and half with karate and last night my husband and I went bike riding for an hour.  Of course he chose the hill route.  My quads were burning when we were done.  Tomorrow I will hit the treadmill for some sprints and Sunday I will stretch everything out with some Yoga.  Nothing like variety to keep you going. 

 Hope everyone trains hard today and have a great weekend.  Remember when you sweat, you glisten.

I am actually counting down the minutes till I can get to the gym and torture my shoulder muscles. They will be worked until they get into shape.  I must be losing it.  I love pushing the iron, watching the guy next to me push the iron, and watching my husband get all nice and puffy from pushing the iron.  I know its a pump but it sure looks good on him.  Sorry off subject.   Anyway, I have become an iron addict.

I feel great today.  I missed my cardio session this morning but it did not dampen my mood.  Last night had a quick hard workout for bis, tris and abs.  Really felt them.  Went home had some extra quality time with the kids.  Tonight I will be hitting shoulders.  Looking forward to the burn.  Hope everyone has a great day and trains hard.
