Blog Entry

Today is upperbody again.  Here is the plan:

All exercises are 3 sets of 8 with last set hitting failure.

Incline bench @ 100

Bench press @ 95

Lat Pulldown @42.5

Seated Cable Row @ 35 may go up on this one

Dumbbell lateral raise @ 15

Alternating db curls @ 12

Cable Pressdown @ 35

Next week I am going back to my old program or setting up a new one.  I think I jumped into this one too soon.  My goal is to lose weight so I need to be able to go through with little rest between sets.  I also feel as if my cardio sessions are not as intense.  I am sure that it is just my perception but I must go with it.  I dont want any setbacks.  I think I may do some supersetting or compounds.  I have the weekend to decide.

Steph, this looks like a good upper body routine. Did it kick your butt? Good! Your strength will increase, don’t worry about that. Sounds to me like you’re just being challenged, that’s what you want.. because that’s how your muscles will grow, which will in turn aid you in burning fat faster.

In my opinion, get your cardio from doing cardio! LOL

    Pump that iron girl!! ;)

Hey Mike, thought I share my workout shirt motivational slogan with you today. It says, "Stay Weak!. I need those plates anyway." LOL. That should keep the iron going up today.

I hit cardio 4 to 6 tiems a week but every session is different. I like the treadmill the most but I switch occasional to the efx, bike or the dreaded stairstep. I think I just have been hitting them as hard as I usually do. I like intervals and log steady runs. I ran track in high school and would love to get back in shape to do it again. My goal is a seven minute mile. I have a long ways to go but I will get there.

My next t-shirt is going to say, I’m working out. Spot me or go away.

LOL….Love the shirt slogan, that’s classic. I agree with mike stay challanged. As for the cardio, how often are you switching up type? That can be important.
