Toss it up!!

I guess I feel like writing about this topic because it’s something that you really don’t say to the members of the gym or club.  But I’m so sick of these guys dropping the weights all over the weight room.  Sometimes you even see cats dropping 35 and 40 lbs on the floor.  I don’t know what started this because I’ve only been doing this weightlifting thing for a decade.  I guess it’s like throwing the ball in the crowd when you cross someone up, at the playground.  A sign of accomplishment for what you just conquered.  I would just like to know why the throwing of the weights?

It really irritates me too….not just that but it’s quite distracting when you are lifting and then all of a sudden you hear weights crashing to the floor or rolling on the floor. I hate it and don’t get it either!

When I press heavy weight I don’t drop it or need to show off for anone…my accomplishment is just moving the big weight!

I think this is a case of "hey everybody, look at me! look at me!"
I can understand doing it if you are using massive weights of a say Ronnie Coleman but otherwise I think it is a showing off type of practice.
These "tossers" drop and clang their piddly little weights to make it sound bigger than it really is and so everybody will notice them.
I lift quite heavy but NEVER drop the weights unless I absolutely have to. It makes me laugh when you hear and enormous crash only to see it is just some tosser finished with his 5kg dumbells.

LMAO, see … I hate that but it is so case by case. :-)

I’m guilty of being a dropper on occasion. As much as I hate it, I have to be cognizant of the fact that sometimes its not a show off deal. There are those that do it on every set though and that does annoy me.

Today, while doing real t-bar rows I got to a set number and my grip was just shot and I was so in the moment and my body just said "**** IT". The weight came tumbling to the floor in a big thud.

It does annoy people to hell though.

Why does the crashing of the weight make you so sick, when you should focus more on the bodybuilding in not the weights.
