DEATH TO A COUCH POATAO!
ok I have writen this before, started and stopped. Now I have had it. I have read enuf profiles to put me to sleep. But instead they have motivated me more.
I cannot name every guy in here who has told me to get off my fat ass and get going, well here goes my friends
Lent is coming upon us. I am going to take this time as a retransformation, and not a time of suffering. I am going to kill the couch poatao within me.
I do not want to compete, I just want to be in the best shape I possibly can.
Problems I forsee - Diet. With my work schedule I cannot eat the necessary 6 small meals. So I am asking for some help. Any suggestions?
- Workouts. Ok I know what to do, now I will definitely concentrate on doing them. I have read enuf and investigated enuf material that I could now write the newest exercise book. So now I am going to take that information and actually Do It.
Ok now the start date will be Ash Wednesday. I will post some new stats on or before that time, with a new pict, if I get the guts up to take some new picts.
Keep in touch, and I’ll keep ya all posted

Not sure what your schedule is but I am assuming you work normal construction hours. If so you should be able to pack a lunch and or other meals. If you can do this then you should be able to get several meals in a day. Key is trying to eats smart and clean. If you are able to just slip ina piece of fruit during the day in between meals that will help keep your metabolism up. Good Luck.
PS Lent is a great time to start up a new routine like this.

Rick,
Pack your small meals and bring them to work with you. Takes a minute to eat 2-3 hard boiled aggs, or a low fat mozzarella cheese stick or a few tablespons of cottage cheese or handful of almonds. Tuna in a pouch is also a quick and easy meal.
Why wait until Ash wednesday to start?
If you start before then you will already have an established schedule in place by the time Ash Wednesday arrives. Keep me posted. all the best!

Stick with your determination. They’ve given you great ideas about meals. You’ve got to do it. Take time to prepare stuff over the weekend or on a free evening. I kept containers in the freezer of balanced meals that I would just grab in the morning on my way out the door.
You’ll be able to do it this time if you just keep reminding yourself of the resolve. Take pictures of "before" and post them around the house and car to remind you what you DON’T want to be anymore, and print out pictures of someone with the physique you are working toward. Post them everywhere to remind you where you are going.

I agree with everyone else. I too have a difficult schedule and I just pack the stuff that i am going to eat in my cooler. I can’t say it isn’t a bit of trouble, but it soon becomes routine. I also carry hish protein and meal replacement bars. Careful not to abuse them!
Good Luck and I will be watching your progress!

Rick,
Good luck!
On your journey, please let me know if I can help in any way.
As far as the diet at work, you have it easier than many. Bring your cooler to work and put it at your desk with all the food you need.
All the best!

Ok…you asked me to stop by here so here you go! Don’t think I can top the advise already given or add anything to it that would amount to anything. Plus according to your blog you already know the answers so…with that said… get off your couch potato ass and become the lean mean muscle machine you desire to be! That’s an order! Don’t make me pull rank on you! Don’t you get tired of seeing everyone on this site looking the way you want to look but you sit on your sorry couch potato ass wishing it would magically happen? IT’S NOT unless you do something about it. Sounds to me like you need a nipple ring too by the way…maybe that will get you motivated! lol! It’s your boi T-Bone61!!!
