She’s baaaaaack….
Just got home from the local gymnasium and I had an awesome cardiovascular workout. I haven’t gotten in some good, steady cardio aside from running my mouth in a few days. I even caught the nooner spinning class! Horray for me! Good job, Danica. Thank you, Danica, and you look very nice today. ![]()
Ok, first of all I like my personal space. I don’t like close talkers unless they smell quite nice and are easy on the eyes…..And I definitely DO NOT like speed walkers that tailgate you while you are minding your own business walking into the gym, up the stairs and into the locker room. For crying out loud, people, walk around!!! Pass me on the right, the left, jump over me, I don’t really care. Just don’t trail behind me about 2 inches away from my heels and huff and puff and sigh…..WHATEVER!!! Oh, I know you are there alright…..that is mostly the reason for my walking so slow, stutter stepping, jab stepping, stop-n-go and no use of turn signals….GET A CLUE!
Yeah, this lady was following very closely behind me. Was she trying to hide from someone? I don’t know. Maybe. There were about 100 open lockers…she picked one about 2 lockers away from the one I went to. Nice. Oh, what is this? She started throwing clothes everywhere and obviously was in a VERY big hurry. Hahahahaa. I thought of this as more of a competition. I was determined to get undressed/dressed and out of that locker room faster than her. I think she knew it, too. Shoes off! Towels out! Ipod out! Pepper spray out! Throw bag in! Lock put on! Done!!! "Woo Hoo! Yes! IN YOUR FACE, close walker!!!" If she didn’t know it was a locker room changing competition before, she did after I yelled that and threw my hands up in tha air. I was just trying to show her that you can, indeed, get changed quick and not walk QUITE so closely to people, mainly me. Note: she DID NOT smell quite nice…..it would have been a different story then.
TRAINING:
cardio/abs
spinning 60min
superset:
cable crunches 3 X 50
hip thrusts on bench 3 X 25
I took 2 cytoleans before spinning. That class felt good. I haven’t been in a week…or two….I can’t really remember. I did, however, stand most of the time and climb or run. The instructor was a sub, not that it made any difference to me b/c I never go on Tuesdays at that time anyways. She had awlright music….for a girl. Hahahaha. Just kidding…it was ok music though. A lot better than most classes. I personally like instructors who don’t talk the entire (ENTIRE) class and count (especially when they are WAY off) and well, man I have a lot of pet peeves. I’ll just stop there before I look like a stuck up spinning snob. Am I really that demanding? YES!!! Ok, but the music was ok. Also…Enter Sandman…you gotta stand on that one, C’MON PEOPLE!!! That is just too angry of a song to sit and spin. SIT AND SPIN!!! I stood, don’t worry. They all sat, but were gonna stand "the last 30 seconds." Those last 30 seconds never happened b/c SOMEONE DIDN’T KNOW THE SONG AND WHEN IT ENDED!! I won’t say who, but the person I’m talking about rhymes with "instructor." Man! I guess I forgot the rhyming part. I always do that!! I’m a horrible rhymer. I got my climbing in, though, and that’s all I care about. I’m so selfish like that!!

Enter Sandman is the best!!! Any Metallica song, really… so cathartic! Glad you got back safely - you were stunning in your pics!

No you heard right but that’s after a workout like lifting so your body doesn’t burn muscle. If your trying to burn fat by doing cardio you don’t want to build your glycogen stores you want your body to burn fat to fuel them.

I don’t know what that last comment was all about. I wrote something completely different but when I hit submit button the comment I left Pixi an hour ago came up. I suspect there are evil forces at work here. I would repost the witty comment I oringinally left you but to be honest I’m too freaked out right at the moment to attempt it.

The gnomes are loose again. Sorry about that, B.
"Enter Sandman" is my crunch song. Trying to make it a curl song. I guess it could be an anything song, it’s just that good!

Ok I’m gonna try this again. I said you should have pepper sprayed the close walker and then did lunges over her as she lay on the floor writhing in agony. That would teach her and also discourage others from thinking they could get away with it.
