How To Decide On The Best Supplement For Muscle

Dane_Fletcher

It’s time to build muscle, plain and simple.  The last four, five, or six months were dedicated to getting lean so you could peak for a bodybuilding show, and you’ve done that.  Now it’s time to get back to the basics, and hit that ‘restart’ button in the gym.  You are now well aware of your flaws.  You know your delts are big enough, your triceps aren’t developed enough, and your hamstrings need far more attention.  You know your pectorals and biceps are great, but your forearms are pitiful.  You are looking at the photographs and you know what needs to be done.

Following a post-show junk food binge, you have reset your diet and you’re back to eating big, clean food.  Your training is back to four days of heavy compound movements per week, and you’ve reduced your cardiovascular exercise sessions to two short sessions per week.  You’re now sleeping better, and your body feels better.  Your system is finally rested and you’re ready to get back in the gym.  Why not take this opportunity to try out some new supplements?  Here are some guidelines to follow when looking for the best supplements for muscle building!

Price
Always use the internet to comparative shop supplements you are interested in purchasing.  Your best bet may be to find a local store that will match prices found online.  This gives you the ability to support your local economy and easily return poor products, but also enjoy the great prices. Remember that many supplements you see on the shelf of your local supplement store will actually be created at the same Chinese factory. It is only the glossy labels and magazine marketing efforts that set them apart from one another.

Availability
Some supplements – particularly those which are deemed most effective because of their steroid-like properties – may be banned within a year or two of their release.  If you see a chance to use something, even for a short while, jump on that opportunity!  The best supplement for muscle gain is the one most like steroids.  If you find one, use it for as long as possible!

Goals
Select supplements based upon their promised results versus your own goals.  There are different supplements designed for helping with burning fat, gaining muscle, and possessing more energy in the gym.

Taste
Do you just shovel down any supplement, as long as you get results?  Or do those without good taste make you gag?  Read reviews before buying!

Experience
Beginner bodybuilders may respond better to supplements that those with years of experience in the training and anabolic arenas.

Injuries
Are you recovering from a sprained muscle group, a knee surgery, or rotator cuff injury?  Supplements which dry you out aren’t going to be very good for you in this condition, but those which help you to retain water will be very beneficial and even assist with pain relief.

The best supplement for muscle building is the one that best fits your criterion for prison, availability, goals, experience, taste and any injury history.
