Going For The Gold

Who are these men and women
set on fire,
with only one desire,
with one single goal,
to go for the Gold?

Gathered from every nation,
for a joyful celebration,
they are eager to win,
honor to their country to bring.

They have been training
never complaining,
just aiming for success,
to be the best.

They are willing to pay the price,
through rigorous training,
from morning until night,
keeping their goal in sight.

Their hearts are filled with pride,
tears welling up in their eyes,
as on the podium they stand,
clutching a golden medal in their hand,
a token of their victory,
for all the world to see.

O, Beloved, can’t you see,
the race in front of you and me?
Filled with holy fire,
lifting the Name of Jesus higher,
we are called to run the track,
not looking back,
pressing toward the mark for the prize,
of the high calling of Jesus Christ.

Whatever we have to go through,
nothing else will do.
We are aiming for our goal
winning one more precious soul.

Every soul is a trophy for our king
and throughout heaven
you can hear the angels sing,
Glory and Honor and Praise to Him.

There will be a great shout,
on that day,
when the rewards are given out,
You will receive a crown of purest gold
just as in the Word of God is told.

What’s up Friends & Fam~

I would like to say thanks to all the one’s who said Happy Bday to me yesterday! Yesterday was a real blessed day for me and I can trully say, It Was The Best Bday ever Anyway today isn’t about me, it’s about a young man that has come along way! He is part of my crew BSN, the new Pro in the company…Mr. Brandon Curry. Today Brandon is 26 also lol, for those that don’t know I tured 26 yesterday! So for those who would like to post a Happy Bday to B (as I call him) or myself please feel free to do so! The poem posted is the poem I posted yesterday…we are all Blessed so please read

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won’t survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

So often we settle for less and rationalize it away. We are inches from what we truly want, but we stop and sit, or worse yet, turn back. It’s right there, we can smell it, taste it, and feel it, but we always seem to settle for less. Why do we settle? Is it because you think you can’t get it? Perhaps you think you don’t deserve to get what you want? Friends and family will turn against you? Afraid of what other people will think about you?

Never settle because once you start settling for less than what you truly want, you send a message not only to yourself, but to those around you that you don’t have it. You don’t have that “it” which serves to separate the great from the mediocre. You don’t have what it takes to get what you want and the masses will embrace you with open arms. They will tell you that it’s ok, that you tried, and that’s all that mattered and you will embrace them in return and shed tears of sorrow, but mark my words, you will turn your head back and wonder what could’ve been. What could’ve been.

You’ll find yourself in a similar situation in the future and look to one side, toward a sea of people who are opening their arms to you, beckoning you to come back to safety, in the arms of mediocrity, and on the other end, you see what you truly want, but you will inevitably turn back to the arms of those people, for approval of others is more valuable than approval of yourself. You will have given into their wants and your identity, your whole reason for being, along with it.

Who are you not to get what you truly want? Who says you can’t have what you truly desire? Note carefully that the people saying that you can’t are the ones who, not surprisingly enough, haven’t gotten what they truly desired. They too have been where you are, in that critical moment where you’re making the decision whether or not to grab what you truly desire and when they see that, they become inflamed with passion and entreat you to turn back, to come and live like them, eat and drink like them, and complain like them about how close they were to getting what they wanted. How close they were to opening that restaurant, to going for that dream job, to asking out the woman of their dreams.

Their plea to turn your back on what you want appears to be out of concern for your well-being, but their true desires are fueled by regret and fear. Regret that they did not have the courage to turn their back on mediocrity and step forward to greatness. Fear that you will take that step forward to greatness and prove to them once and for all that you can get what you truly want. Give substance to that fear by never settling.

It is all a test. Life is all a test to see if you choose the path of existing or living. The path of existence is default for all things on this earth, but the path of truly living is only reserved for those who never settle for what they truly want.

Therein lays the beauty of it all. We all want different things. Not everybody wants the wife and two kids with a two story house and a white picket fence along with a BMW in the garage. Some people want to live a very simple life. If that’s the case, don’t settle for anything less.

For those who settle for less than what they truly want exist only to consume space, time, and resources. To fill a void. Nothing more, nothing less.

 I found this poem and thought it would help the ones who want to keep goin, but are ready to give up the fight.  Dont give up because you are not seeing the results you want as fast as you want them.  Keep you dreams high and don’t let them fall; don’t let anyone stand in your way, becuse you are a winner!

Nothing you have done has been a waste of time. Everything you have been through is a stepping stone to your next level. Dont let boardem, depression, fear or procrastination stell your joy or success.

Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another.

Dont messure your succes by what others have accomplished. Look over your shoulder and realize how far you have come.

You are goin to make it! You have what it takes to overcome the obstacles of ego, emotions, excuses and the enemy of darkness. You have what it take to make you life productive and prosperous. A fuller life is waiting for your gradtitude, faith, focus, willpower, commitment, courage and action

 I found this poem to help someone get through whatever struggle or doubt might have been going through the mind.  Our minds can make us or brake us, but if we fight…we cant be stoped. So I pray this will bring a peace to someones mind and heart.
