Still Sick.. Part 2

April 6, 2008

Damn this cough… Okay I’m still sick… Is it okay to workout even if you’re sick, I mean its just a cough. I don’t physically feel bad, it doesn’t hurt when I cough, so I’m just wondering???? Anyways, even if I’m not better by Thursday; I’ll still workout. Its been enough time off and I’m getting frustrated..

Still Sick..

April 3, 2008

I thought maybe by today I would be good to go, but apparently not. I feel worst than I’ve felt in the last week. It’s a bummer because I probably won’t feel any better on Friday and I won’t workout Saturday because I have an event to attend.. I guess it’ll be another week without working out… I hope I can just go back and hit the weights hard..

Two Weeks in..

March 30, 2008

Okay, its been 2 weeks since I decided to start gaining weight. I’ve gained about 3-3.5 lbs since.. Recently, or I should say currently, I’m sick.. I haven’t worked out at all this week, and while I feel better; I rather not risk staying sick so I’ll wait to workout on Thursday…

I should be good to go on Thursday and in the meantime I’ll just eat.. a lot…

I’ll also start taking some creatine in about 3 weeks. This should hopefully help on the weight gains that I’m looking for.. The progress pics won’t go up until I hit 160 lbs, so lets hope that’s soon….

Gaining Weight..

March 16, 2008

It looks like everyone wants to gain some weight/mass. That’s funny because that was never something I really wanted. Now, though I believe I’m tired on being 148-155 lbs all the time.. Here’s the deal I’m 5′10" and coming close to turning 22 yrs old soon. Therefore I figured, gain the weight/mass now and then later on just maintain the results..

I’m looking to gain 15-20 pounds through out the rest of this year. I’m gonna play around with the cardio; so I’ll play it by ear..

The biggest goals are my legs. I still want some massive legs. Also, bigger delts. I am really just kinda just play it by ear for the next 6 weeks. Or up until I get an idea of what type of training I’ll go with and how much food will do the job..

Anyways, I’ll keep myself honest so that I don’t lose any muscle I’ve built so far… Will post something later.

Months 2 & 3 Bulking

October 7, 2007

Cool, so I finished the first months’ work of bulking. It paid off pretty well, I gained about 10 lbs; and the body fat ain’t too shabby.

I do have to say, the odd workout routine wasn’t as odd as I thought it was going to be.  It was the most fun routine I’ve done and did exactly what I wanted it to do. My thighs grew a little more than 1/2" and my calves about 1/4". I know it isn’t a lot, but its a perfect start considering that I was doing a lot of cardio.

This Wednesday I start a new routine of lifting with no cardio for the next two months. I’ll be working out 5 days per week, with a little heavier weight. There will be no cycle routines; unlike the last month where I had two cycle routines (Arms and Chest/Back).

Currently I stand at 159 lbs @ 12% bf, I want to be at least 166 lbs @ 12% bf in within the next 4 weeks, and be at least 170 lbs @ 11% bf by the end of November. Its not going to be easy but I’m willing to stick through it.

Remember the goal is to be 170 lbs at about 10% by January 1st, so if I for some reason don’t hit my goals in the next 8 weeks; its OK because it still gives me a month to catch up…

I will write back and post an update till 8 weeks from now, so for now just be patient….

Bulking….

September 1, 2007

So the whole track method didn’t go through like I planned it to.. There was a change in my job schedule halfway through my routine and it pretty much ruined the last 3 weeks.. I did go under 150 lbs in weight just like a thought and maintained the 10% bf level I wanted, so not a bad routine after all.

All of that is pretty much over now! Next week I start my Bulking again and I am really looking forward to it. I’ll rest for the next 7 days; no training what so ever, so that I can prepare for the heavier weight. I’m going to load on creatine, double my diet, and workout smarter this time.

For the first month I’m going to take a different approach than usual. I’m going to take a mass building approach for my legs and shoulders, and I’m going to keep a cycle workout for my arms, crest, and back. This way I can keep a lean upper body with low body fat and focus on my weak points (legs, shoulders) for better, more defined muscle gains.

Well, I’m determine to go through with this routine regardless of any obstacles that are thrown my way; and I feel really confident and excited about this new approach. I’ve never done a workout like this, so we’ll see how everything plays out.

I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated and I’ll post my workout routine in a few days.

Track Program..

July 29, 2007

So I just started my Track and Field program. I had forgotten how exhausting running track is.. It doesn’t take much sprinting to get your legs at a failure stage. Well, its been a week since I’ve started and I feel great. My legs are soar every day I run, I feel explosive on the track; a lot more powerful than I’ve ever felt before.

Well, I’ll continue to do my sprinting for another 4-5 weeks. I just really want to have a stronger more defined lower body and I really feel I’ll accomplish that with a track workout. Besides, I love track; it has been my favorite sport since high school and really want to get back into it.

Changed My Mind..

July 22, 2007

I was going to continue gaining weight till about mid August, but just change my mind. Its time to cycle of creatine and a couple of other product, so I figured..this is a perfect time to lean up. Granted I’m not at the weight I wanted to be, so after leaning I’m gonna be a really light guy..maybe even under 150 lbs; which I’m not too excited about.

I’ll be off a lot of supplements and heavy weight training till the end of August. After that, I’ll start gaining those pounds back. I’ll see how everything goes, ultimately I want to have a shredded body somewhere between 155 lbs and 165 lbs; not really anything bigger.

Besides, after leaning up I’ll be able to better determine what body parts need more help than other and I’ll hit those parts harder during my next weight gain cycle.

Well I’ll keep you guys updated…..

Goal Meet…

July 14, 2007

I’ve just hit my goal to weight over 157 lbs by today, and well I hit 158 lbs..so very proud at this time. Also, since June 2nd I’ve added 1 1/4" to my thighs. I want to duplicate that by the end of August.

I expect larger weight gains in the next 6 weeks as well as a bit more BF (hopefully not to much BF). Then off with my leaning. Can’t wait to shred up and lean up.

I’ll keep you guys updated…

Almost There..

July 12, 2007

I recently changed my goal to weight 157 lbs + by July 14th; instead of 165 lbs. Looks like that is definitely going to happen since it’s the 12th and weighting in at 156.5 lbs. I’ll stretch my bulking till the 25th of August and start leaning down from there on. I’m already trying to plan out a workout for that leaning stage so that I’m ready when it approaches.

Being a Track runner a want to have that track body, so more than likely I’ll take a track and field program as the perfect approach. Of course still lifting, but just a lot less. Looking forward to this approach, and just hoping for the best out of it.
