things i do to see a smile

My son came home some time ago with a sheet to sign up to run a race at his school. So I said yes and filled it out sent it in. Now the day has come tomorrow i will try to run a 5k. I say try because my son did not tell me he told his teacher "My dad is faster then you" she runs everyday, I run when something chases me. I must not let my son down I am his hero at least til the end of the race. Then  Ms. Dufor will be his hero unless I can trip her from the start.just kidding (will get a kid to do it for me)haha. So my son will see me fall to a "girl" this is going to be a lesson in life you don’t have to win, its about finishing. If you can’t win have fun doing your best

In a way that’s kind of an amusing situation to be in, but kinda some pressure too.

    Have fun and good luck!

Sounds like you’ll get a good workout, teacher will kick your butt, son will get more respect for teachers and hence excel in school, then get a scholarship so you are off the hook for college tuition.
Of course you will be winning tomorrow! lol!

I did a triathlon and came in close to last, but my kids were so proud that I actually finished. Or I think it was more that they were astonished, LOL.

Have a lot of fun with this race. Good luck to you; don’t bang the teacher up too bad. ;) ~

Hey…just the fact that you are doing something for and with your kid is pretty great! Not every parent would run a 5k…no worries, you’ll do fine and I’m sure your son thinks of u as his hero anyways! :)
