Feeling better!!

Well, I know I just posted on Friday but I wanted to post again after the long holiday weekend because I am feeling better this week.  Finally recouperating from the cold and even though I didn’t train over the 3 day weekend, my diet was spot on and I managed to lose a few pounds, so I am going into the new week with a renewed confidence.  I have just under three weeks to pull it all together and I now feel that I am in a better position than I was last week, which is how it should at this stage!  Sticking to my deit while everyone else around me wasn’t just took me to the next level, I guess.  Trust me, it was hard watching everyone around me enjoy those hamburgers and hot-dogs off the grill and downing those cold beers while sitting in the hot sun on the island, but it paid off in the end!  I actually felt good sitting there eating my tuna and rice cakes and drinking my water knowing that I was doing the right thing for me.  I AM FEELING GOOD TODAY!!!  HERE GOES A GREAT WEEK OF TRAINING TO TAKE ME TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!  Later!

Well, for those of you reading my blogs, you know that my last entry a week and a half ago had me concerned with my conditioning for my upcoming contest.  Unfortunately, not much has changed where that is concerned!  I got sick and wasn’t able to make the gym but three days last week and was still feeling the after effects of the cold the beginning of this week.  My diet has been pretty much spot on and this week I have been able to make my regular gym visits in the afternoon, however I had planned to start making the morning visit for additional cardio this week and that did not happen!  At this point, I have about eight pounds to loose in order to make my contest weight.   Ideally I would love to come in even lower than that just to improve my stats, however I will be happy with that.  I know that I can drop those last few pounds in three weeks, but I just hate that I haven’t been at my best!  Well, anyway, that is what is going on with me!!  Have a great weekend!!

Well, it sure has been a while since I posted on here!  Let’s see, I have 4 1/2 weeks to go for the next competition and I have to admit, I haven’t been as disciplined as I should’ve been since last show.  I have managed to maintain my weight within 10 - 12lbs of my competition weight so I should be able to jump back into things without too much problem, however, I have been a but relaxed about the whole thing.  I hope I haven’t been too easy on myself.  I have been sick this week and haven’t been able to make the gym as often as I wanted to so I am going to really have to step it up next week and get those two a days rolling again and hit it really really hard!  Let’s hope my muscle memory is strong enough!!!
