2 WEEKS!

Well, two weeks left to go and feeling good!  Dropped a few more pounds and making steady progress.  I have a posing lesson/appointment today and I will get my body fat done, I am interested to see where I will register.  I have been really tired this past week (lack of carbs) and very restless at night.  I don’t sleep well even though I am totally exhausted throughout the day!  I have decreased the intensity level of my weight training and I am lifting at about 85% of my normal weight.  Still doing those stadium runs 4 days a week bright and early in the morning.  I really think those have thrown me into another gear and helped to accelerate the fat loss process.  I am glad I started doing those.  I am actually going to compete in a show next week to see how I look so I will keep you posted on the outcome of that one.  Check out my progress!

Well, here I am another week gone!  Started doing stadium runs this week and boy do I feel it!  Thought I needed something to shake things up a little and stimulate progress.  My glutes need a little lift and figured that would be the best thing for them.  I think I have decided to jump into a show one week prior to the Southern USA so I only have two weeks left before that one!  I guess I will start my final prep stages on Monday instead of the following week and see how it goes.  Check out my new progress pics!  More to come next week!

4 WEEKS!!

Okay, just over 4 weeks to go and things seem to be progressing nicely.  I love the last four weeks, that is when I see the most changes to my body occur.  I especially like the last two weeks, everyday brings something better!  Well, let’s see, I have lost approximately seven pounds over the past three weeks and have been maintaining at this plateau for the past week.  I would really love to shed about ten more before competition day.  Realistically, I think I will at least get off about eight of those, but we will see!  The last week I normally drop about five to six pounds as I move into the final prep stages.  I don’t want to lose muscle so the weight loss tends to be slow in the beginning stages of prep for me.  I am starting to get really excited!!  I love it, love it, love it!  I think this is what I was born to do… too bad I didn’t discover it until so late in life!!  I will be posting more progress pics next week from my weekend posing session, so visit me again soon!!!

5 weeks to go!!  WooHoo!  Well, the good news is, things are moving along quite nicely.  I saw a nice drop in pounds last week, the new diet plan is working well for me and I’ve got some good momentum going now.  The abs are starting to see daylight again and for me that is a good sign at this point.  I usually make most of my big steps in progress in the final 2 to 3 weeks of preparation, so seeing some positive results right now in my mid-section is good.  I still have a lot of leaning out to do (as you can see from my progress photos) however, I am confident that it will all come together.  I will be taking more photos next week and then each week prior to the show.  It is amazing how noticeable the changes become in the final weeks of preparation.  Each day your body looks different and I love to see that happen.  Watch along with me!!!

6 Weeks!

Okay, time for another update!  Things are moving along nicely.  I have started see a few pounds drop off this week (finally) and I hope that means I am on the downward spiral as far as weight loss goes.  I made some changes to my diet over the last two weeks and I am doing high/low carb with the high carb days only making up two days of the week in order to drop some pounds (thanks hbat464)!  Seems like maybe it is working.  I am still retaining some water, but I usually do that up until the last two weeks when I really amp up my water intake to 2 gallons daily, so hopefully all will play out as planned.  Tomorrow I will be taking the progress photos, so look for them to be online next week.  I hate posting photos when I am not at my best, but I guess that is what this site is for, to show our progress!   I have really put on a lot of muscle during my off season this year, so I am excited and nervous about the lines and proportions of my physique.  Well, you guys will just have to let me know what you think after I post the photos from this weekend!!  Until then… later!
