Way Beyond Frustrated!!!!!
To say that I am feeling frustrated with my training results would not be strong enough. For the past 5 months I have been trying to watch what I eat, do all the things I am supposed to be doing (i.e., cardio and weight training, etc.) and have gotten nowhere. UGH! I do work two jobs, and recently the physical activity level at my job changed… I went from lifting heavy things up and down a ladder all day to basically a desk job. So, I do realize that this change has contributed to my "lack of results". Before the job change, what I have been doing training-wise would have accomplished the results I wanted. Now, however, all of the work I am doing is just maintaining where I am currently. (If I wasn’t doing that, I am terrified as to how much weight I would have put on in the past couple of months…EEEEK!) So, here’s my dilemma… there are only so many days and hours in a week. I am already spending between 6-10 hours in the gym a week (approx. 5 days a week; 1-2 hours each session). There isn’t enough time to double what I am already doing in order to get some positive results…so what do I do now? Summer is coming and I am hating the way I look at this moment. There is no way I would feel comfortable in a clingy tank top! Any suggestions on reliable fat burning????

DD frustration usually stems from not initially understanding HOW you are going to get to your goals. Or at least no being able to track your progress towards the goal(s). With the super busy schedule and all-around hectic lifestyle, how do you KNOW you have been ‘watching what you eat’? And what’s your wkout activity REALLY like?
My point - do you have documented proof of this SAID hard work and efforts to reach your fitness goal(s)? If not, I ask that you consider a Journal …of some sort. Hope this helps…and best wishes on your future progress!!! ~Dawn Melanie

Yes, I have been using a workout journal and keep track of all calories, fat grams, carb grams, and protein grams.

So…how\’s the bottom line looking? Are your macronutrients in line wth your nutritional goals. ~Dawn Melanie

According to all the research I\’ve done, I should be right on track to get where I want to go. I know I have been fighting a very slow metabolism for years, which isn\’t helping either. My family genetics isn\’t the best - both sides of my family are generally overweight. I\’ve watched my Mom struggle with her weight my whole life and she sort of gave up. I refuse to quit and let the scale and tape measure win this battle. At this point, I just feel like I\’m running out of things to try.

Here’s what causes me to lose weight very fast. Mark off the street in front of the house (with spray paint-get the environemental kind) in 10 yard increments. Then run sprints like you are qualifying for the Olympics. 30,50,70,90,100, 80, 60, 40. It takes about 15 min. do it 3x per week.
It works because it is cardio, but it does not break down the muscle as much as cardio.
Walk between sprints back to the finish line.
Get good at this and then race Chris while he is insane from lack of carbs. He’ll never remember the race, so tell him you won and then never race again. You’ve already won so there is no point in racing again. lol

Now look who’s being a "Big Baby"! Just kidding, Dear! Don’t hurt me with more cardio!

My knees don’t do well with running, unfortunately.
