Meaurement time this week and mixed results once again…  There are welcomed increases in my legs and chest, and another small decrease in my waistline, but the biceps measurement has gone down some more again.  My arms (I think) are looking more defined so perhaps I’m still losing fat out of them, but the bf% pinches don’t bear that out; the back of the arm pinch is relatively unchanged over the last month.  That was the other thing, the bf% is unchanged from last month.  It dipped down a bit between last month and now, but it’s back to where it was.  Sigh.  My weight is down some overall, though, so I guess all together things are progressing decently.

The feedback from the BodySpace folks has been keeping me going, thanks to all the commenters.  I guess I am doing something right as others are seeing progress and changes.  I need to get some current pix and get those uploaded to see if there’s anything noticeable since last month.

I am enjoying my new weight bench… it is great to finally be doing ab crunches well, what a burn compared to just doing them laying on the floor!  Chest presses and flyes are great now, too.  Keep it pumpin’.

A somewhat disappointing week.  My weight got down to 182 for a day or two and then went back up again to 185-186 and has settled back to 184, and I don’t think I am doing anything any differently than I have been doing so far.  With that I decided the check the bf% and found that’s back up a bit again, so the reduction noticed a week ago is back to where it was, about 21%.  Just got to keep at it, I guess.  It’s easy to get discouraged, though, esp. heading into the holidays and the eating frenzy that can accompany that.

In other news I finally bought myself a proper weight bench this week instead of improvising with stuff around the house… can’t wait for my next chest day, and now I can really hit my abs.  More gains to come, I hope!

Weds Dec 5th

Down another % in the bf!  Did a pinch tonight and I am down about 3 mm in total which according to the chart is about a %… cool.  Darn chart is a bear to look at because the breakoff point is age 42/43 so I could really take one or the other.  Whatever, looks like I have gone from 21-22% to 20-21%, and that’s in just two weeks.  Last time I was down a % it took a month!  Maybe that whey protein is working…  Saw some people today that I haven’t seen in several months and got some positive comments about my weight and appearance from them, so that was a booster to the ol’ ego, and confirmation that what I am doing IS working.

I am pretty much over the cold I had over the weekend, still coughing and blowing my nose some, but nothing like I was Friday and Saturday.  Hope it continues to improve.

My arm is doing OK.  It was sore after the last bicep workout, but it wasn’t as bad as it was last week when I worked out before I got the arm band/brace.  I am being careful with it with the workouts.  Just saw tonight that fellow BodySpacer dias is out of a lot of bb’ing for two months with tennis elbow…  I sure don’t want to end up like that, and hope he heals well and quickly.

Came down with a miserable cold late this week.  No fun, that, but I did manage to do an abs workout last night.  It actually seemed to unstuff my head a bit, which was most welcome!  When I first started the sinus pressure seemed to get worse, to the point that I thought I couldn’t continue, but I waited a couple of minutes for it to pass off and I started again and then the activity made my head clear.

On my tennis elbow problem, earlier in the week I bought one of those tennis elbow brace things and used it in the workouts involving lifting and it seems to work very well.  I was able to to lift without further problems or aggravating the problem more. In fact, it appears to have speeded the healing process along as I have had little pain/discomfort since I started using it.  Last spring when this last happened, I was uncomfortable for almost two weeks.

My weight is down another pound or so, rah.  I’ll do a bf% pinch mid-week and see how I’m doing.  Think I’ll do that every two weeks instead of once a month like the other measurements.
