Not the season we expected. 2-9. At least we beat our rivals on the thanksgiving game. My thumb is better, but my other one is now unstable because I sprained it during the middle of the season. It’s all good. And the off season begins…

So they cut the cast off. My hand to half way up my forearm was white as my ass lol. Gotta get that tan back. Then they took out the pin. Now the pin was about a centimeter out of my thumb and curved at a 90 degree angle so they can clamp onto it when they took it out. The doctor wriggled it out with pliers, and WOW, it hurt like hell. I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth during the process because of the pain. When I opened my eyes I saw that the pin was freakin 2 and a half inches long! I didn’t know it was that far in.
Anyway, I still can’t lift for at least another two weeks because my thumb is so stiff right now. But when I can, I’m giving every workout my all until football.

It’s been a rough month and a half. I had to do all my finals for school with my left hand, along with everything else I usually do righty. Tomorrow is Thursday and the cast is coming off. I’ll have physical theorapy for a while and I’ll be back in the weight room as soon as possible. I’m just nervous about this pin they have to pull out of my thumb tomorrow. Pce

I ****ed up my thumb back in October 2006. I was playing flag football in gym class and some kid tried swatting my hand away my hit my right thumb and tore a ligament. My thumb became very sensative, and if I jammed it a little or moved it in a certain way I would get a shit load of pain. I went to the doctors at least 4 times from October to now and had 2 x-rays. They told me it was just a little tissue damage and ice and rest would heal it.
In April 07′, I had jammed my thumb up like 5 times, and I noticed a bump in my thumb where it hurt. The bump never went away, so my aunt, who’s a nurse, recommended me seeing this doctor she works with who’s an expert on hand injuries. He told me I had tore one of two ligaments that keep the thumb bones attatched to the rest of the ****in hand. He said that I had waited too long to heal with physical theorapy, so I need to get surgery or else I’ll have artheritus in 5 years. So this Wendesday I’m getting the surgery and I’ll be in a cast for at least a month.
I’m not nervous. I’m just worried that I won’t be able to lift for a while. I could use a break, but not a whole ****in month! Whatever we’ll see how this shit goes.
