I took some progress pictures yesterday and compared them to the pictures in the past. I was disappointed…I feel great and thought I had great progress but after comparing the pictures, I don’t see a difference. I’ve been slacking off on my diet and have been giving myself too many cheat days. I’m going to try again and stay away from all the sugar and fat. I’ll hold off on posting my so called, progress pictures until I actually see some progress.

I lost my workout partner. I’m not sure what happened to him he just stopped showing up to the gym and he’s been ignoring my phone calls. He was pretty stoked about working out and was going with me for a few weeks but he disappeared. Well, I’m sure he’s still alive because a few of our other friends just saw him. It sucks not having a workout partner. I can’t lift heavy fearing that i’ll drop the weights on myself. At least my wife supports me and go with me to the gym when I go but all we can do together is cardio. I’ve tried asking some friends to go with me but they have different gym memberships and the friends that can go with me don’t want a set schedule. They just want to go when ever they feel like it.

The holidays screwed me up. I haven’t gone to the gym in a long while but I’m glad that I didn’t gain any weight. I started the gym again this week and I’m not lifting as much. It doesn’t matter that much. I rather tone up than bulk up. Hopefully this time I can continue without any roadblocks.

Nine pounds to go and I’ll be at 185. I don’t see much of a difference but I guess I’m losing the weight in other places. I still have a huge stomach though. Maybe I’ll need to be at 175? What ever it is I won’t stop until I get my six pack.

I’ve been eating eggs for breakfast every morning. I’m starting to get tired of it. I need to find a better recipe for them. So far I’ve had scrambled eggs, egg whites, sunny side up and eggs with wheat bread. Maybe I should start making omelets…too lazy for that though just thinking about what all the ingredients that I have to cut up just to prepare.

I knew I was out of shape but I didn’t know it was that bad. I’ve been working out regularly, three or four days a week but I haven’t been doing much cardio. I mean I think I do enough cardio I break a good sweat. I went to my martial arts class today and did some conditioning exercises. We ran around the dojo for ten laps, ran from wall to wall, and many other things. I never sweated so much and felt so out of breath in a long time. I guess the more I do these conditioning exercises the easier it will be. Anyways I been working out but now I know I need to do other things to condition myself. Maybe run a marathon? haha… one day!

I eat three whole eggs every morning and it taste great. I realized that whole eggs can range from 70 calories to 92 calories depending on the size. Now i’m switching to 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites. It still taste the same since I have one whole egg in the mix. This drops the calories from 70 to just 17 calories. Great for a low calorie diet. Anyways, I usually buy my eggs from VONS but I ran out and decided to drop by Ralphs since it was on the way home from work. I didn’t think much of it since an egg is an egg right? Well, I cooked the eggs the normal way that I do and noticed that it tasted different from the taste i’m used to. I tried it again the next day and got the same different taste. I didn’t like this new taste so once I run out i’m never buy my eggs from anywhere but VONS.

I started my diet today. I’m trying to lose weight so i’m taking in less calories. I’m actually tracking my calories now. I never cared before and I always ate out. No more fast foods or eating out. My diet consist of Protein Bars, Protein Shakes, Fruits, Chicken Breast, Salmon, and some Brown Rice. I went to the gym today and it was a tough work out. My work out is the same but I felt really weak. I’m sure it’s because of my diet and since it’s the first day i’m not used to it? Overall I had a good work out but the energy wasn’t there and the motivation wasn’t there. It was also because my work out partner was a no show. It’s always better with a partner…Someone to push you and talk crap to you. Hopefully my next work out won’t be as bad…

I’m 5′9 and overweight. I never thought it was a problem and I felt fine. Recently I’ve been getting comments from friends…"You’re looking healthy(fat)", "what happened to you?", "I thought you’re going to the gym?"… I really let myself go these past few years. I eat anything and everything. I jumped on the scale yesterday and I was at 205lbs. I’ve never been over 200 before. Then it all came to me… Wow, I’m fat and I eat too much. Now i’m more motivated about getting in shape and losing some weight. I started a meal plan to take in less calories and eat 6 small meals a day. Hopefully I can keep myself motivated and get to my goal wait of 185lbs. Let the journey begin…08.26.2007
