Fatburners and Thermogenics Suck
July 22, 2009Well at least for me, thermogenics suck. You name it….Hydroxycut (including the Hardcore), Lipo6 (all brands to include Black), Cytolean, Stackers (1,2, & 3), Xenadrine, Xyience (really makes my heart go "Dude, what the hell", GNC Muscle Igniter crap, blah blah and the list goes on.
All of them make me feel like I’m going to have a heart attack on the spot. They all feel fine for about a week and then that’s when it happnes….The chest pains. Now don’t take this as me talking crap about thermogenics, because I do believe they work with a good clean diet and regimented exercise program for some people. Just realize that everyone’s body reacts to these products differently from the next persons. So, after I take a thermogenic, it takes about a week to 10 days before I feel normal again. The slightest physical exertion sucks. I tried taking the most minimum dosage and lo and behold, my heart smacks me upside my head.
So, if you’re out there and thermogenics give you an overall feeling of blah, you’re not alone. What I have done to make sure that I’m maximizing fat burning is taking other stuff. Here’s the list: CLA (which is supposed to support fatloss), Flaxseed Oil, Omega-3’s, Optimum Nutrition (ON) whey, ON Casein (this stuff is absolutely amazing by the way…take it at bedtime), a good multi-vitamin (the GNC vitapak for increased energy), and lots of water. That’s it. A good clean-regimented diet, some natural supp’s and a good 8-10 hours of rest every night is really all you need. Oh and stretch, don’t forget to stretch.
Workouts consist of cardio in the AM (running, rowing, or stairs) and a good Crossfit WOD in the afternoon, 3 on..1 off schedule. It works for me. Well, that’s all I have. Just wanted to share to the world that supplements aren’t bad. Thermogenics aren’t bad. Creatine isn’t bad. We all just need to listen to our bodies and no matter how big our goals are, there are no shortcuts. If your body says, "dude that sucks", stop doing whatever you’re doing to it. It’ll repay you in the long run.. Oh and if you have any advice for this guy, I’m always open-eared.
Peace to all my BodySpacers and Fitness Enthusiasts.
Chris
