I’m 2 weeks into my training schedule. I’ve been killing myself on workouts. I’m working 4 days a week heavy & hitting the other 3 lighter. My frustration is with 3 things. First of all in 2 weeks my weight has only dropped 1 lb. Second, I am killing myself to the point of muscle failure in workouts & the next day I’m not sore. Shouldn’t I be getting sore? I was told the pain meant they were worked properly. Third, a friend emailed me & said she was getting bypass surgery to lose weight. This is only bothering me because I have been working so hard for little results & to me surgery is the easy way out. So she’ll be getting skinny before I am, and I have a lot less to lose than her. Yes it’s just my competitive nature rearing it’s ugly head, but I’m doing this with blood sweat & tears…not a cop out. Sorry if that pisses some people off but I just don’t think surgery is the answer for most of the people who get it. I think it’s lack of motivation. I also think doctors are too quick to ok that surgery for too many people who could help themselves if they really tried. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on my training please share them. I’m really frustrated to be working so hard & not seeing any results. I’d also like your opinions on the muscle soreness issue. Thanks.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted. In fact I just haven’t been on BB.com in a while. Between all my commitments there simply hasn’t been enough hours in a day. My training & diet have been so so. I’ve maintained my loss but haven’t lost more. My friends show was this past weekend and my husband & I have both been inspired to work harder. We have decided to join a small local gym. Provided I can figure out chld care that is. It would give us a chance to use more equipment than I currently have. I also think it will be the push we need thru the winter months & obviously a much better choice than sitting in front of the tv every night. My coach is working up a new diet plan for me. I have realized I need to keep my goals in line or there will not be a chance of being ready for the show. I don’t have much wiggle room now. I need to do this for myself…to prove I still have it in me & I’m not going to give up so easily.

Well I realized today that we’re 38 days away from my friend’s show. I’m coaching her for it & it’s her 2nd show. Now I’ve been pretty lazy in my diet…no one’s fault but my own. For the most part I’m maintaining weight…but what an eye opener. I was like Dude time to get it going here. So I’ve eaten great so far & besides being freakin’ starving all is well. lol I am excited to get to be at another show…it’s so inspiring to see where some of the people have come from!

I’m back at it full time again. Summer break is over for me & it’s time to put my best effort forward. I’m very proud of myself for being able to maintain…and yes! I even lost during my time off. Always before I would regain if I took time off and this time I didn’t! So WOOHOO! for me. lol It just goes to show how much I’ve retrained myself from old habits. Yes I still mess up, but I don’t let it start a bad cycle of eating. I pick myself up, dust myself off & as Michelle says…get back up on my horse. lol Now that I’m back in the game I will re evaluate my training program. I think I will work ABS more as that is the area I need the most work in. I am loving my legs. They are really toning up and keeping the muscle. People are even commenting on how nice my legs are starting to look…which I love. All in all, I’m thrilled with what I was able to do this summer without really doing much training. I’m super excited to see what happens this fall with a strong commitment to my exercise schedule. Thanks for everyone’s support! You all are wonderful!! =)

Hey everyone! Bear with me as I’ve not been online tons. We’re doing a bunch of mini vacations and it has taken a good chunk of my time up. I am still training…granted not like I was…and I’m maintaining. I start my big contest push around Sept 14th. Hope to have a good amount of pounds off by christmas time if possible. The last week in August I should be able to resume a normal workout routine again of 5x’s a week. Otherwise, I’m well & thanks to all who have checked in…look for me to hit BB.com hard by the end of Aug. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!!! =)

For those of you who haven’t seen me around, be assured I’m still here. Just got back & back to my training this week. I’m kind of worn out and feel like I need a day or 2 to catch up on sleep but hopefully by the end of the week I’ll be feeling better. Other than lacking motivation from taking the week off, my weight has maintained well. I actually amazed myself I didn’t have a gain over vacation. Can’t say I even ate well either. Anyway, I’m still here & doing well! Thanks to all those who asked!
Will be updating my profile page shortly.

I have to admit, the last 2 days I haven’t really followed the BFL exercise plan, but regardless I’m down 2.4 lbs. Not too shabby. I’m actually eating more than I was too! Anyway my friend & I made a pact that if we lose 10 lbs by July 26th we get a free eating day. I know BFl allows one every week, but I’m not using them. It’s actually easier if I don’t. I find myself not wanting to go back on diet if I splurge. So anyway, I’m well on my way to meeting my goal. My BFL goal is 25 lbs. Long term goal is to hit 150 by the middle of October. I know that one is a stretch, but I’m trying it anyway. It’s approx 19 weeks away & that would mean right now I need to lose a total of 3.25 lbs a week. That won’t stop me though. Going to try for it anyway. Overall I’ve been pretty happy with my progress. Even when I’ve gained some I’ve been going back down. the general trend has been to lose weight so that’s my main purpose right now. I figure once I get down to 150’s I can worry about bulking and gaining muscle but losing body fat is most important. That would leave me with approx. 20-25 lbs to lose between Jan-May 2009. Next week I start training 2 days a week with my friend. We’ll be doing cardio & abs…God help me. lol Those are the areas I need the most push in. Then in Jan. if at all possible I would like to start going to the gym. Now being a stay home mom & a farm owner, I have no clue how I’m going to do this, but guess I’ll figure it out. lol Sorry this is long, but thought I’d spell out my long term plan. Mostly to keep myself focused but so you can see what I’m doing too. On a positive note, I’m starting to get lots of comments from people who are noticing my transformation! That’s very encouraging to me! Have a wonderful day!
