13 DEC 07

December 13, 2007

I injured my rotator cuff about 2 weeks ago and skipped my shoulder workout last week.  I tried to pick up shoulders again yesterday and had to go really light because of it. After about the 2d set of my second workout, I decided to just end my workout, hung my head and walked back to my hootch a few minutes later.  My decision came after I re-evaluated where exactly the pain was pin-pointed at, and the limitted range of motion I was having. The limitted ROM was of course secondary to the pain and discomfort in the rotator cuff.

As of right now, I am getting out of this monkey suit and into my PT’s and head to the gym.  I’ll get a good arm warm-up going and will try to stay away from negatives, depending on how my shoulder feels on the prechers bench. Well I’m off to train and injury or not, when there’s a will, there’s a way!

Training: Tue, 11 DEC 07

December 11, 2007

woke up @ 0500hrs and at the gym by 0600. ran my 3 miles on treadmill and was going to weight train but decided against it. headed to gym again for more cardio then weight trainingin a few minutes. today is my back day so we’ll see how that goes, then its "CHOW TIME" with meats and veggies…unless i can just throw caution to the wind and eat something tasty and top it off with some fruit for desert.

Okay, went to the gym and wasnt feeling all there so i nixxed the cardio, but had to push through: 3 sets of pull ups; supersets of "seated lat pulldowns, seated cable rows and seated lat pulldowns again=1 set x 3", 3 sets of straight-arm cable pulldown standing and finished with 3 sets of wide arm t-bar rows.

after that, i went to the chow hall and cheated on my diet!!!  cookies-n-cream ice cream with strawberries…MMMMmmm…now i feel guilty as sin  lololol.  i guess that’ll learn me fer next time. -"Doc"

naNO Vapor day 4 through 6

December 6, 2007

porperly mixed 3 scoops. day 4-6 were all the same yielding no results in any obvious additional strength that i could not rule out proper rest and dieting.

in conclusion, my PERSONAL opinion of naNO vapor after 6 days was that it doesn’t help me enough to pinpoint whether it was the Vapor or not.  I guess if i do end up using anything, i will use naNOx9

HOWEVER…i followed the advice of Nick Del Toro and began 3 to 4 warm up sets whenever time permitted. during and after the warm-up sets with really light weight, i began to notice the pump almost immediately AND without the naNO Vapor and without x9.

anyway, thanks Nick!

God Bless,

November 27, 2007

No AM training due to mission.

PM Training:

mixed 3 scoops of vapor:water. noted increased pulse and concentration and possible strength but not sure if because of vapor or not.  no abnormalities noted. the taste of the mix gets worse with increase…lol

will continue update for another 3 days and re-assess

naNO Vapor day 2

November 26, 2007

Last night I didn’t end up falling asleep until about 0130hrs which is quite odd unless were on mission.  I woke up to the alarm at 0430hrs which was secondary to not being able to fall asleep.  I normally wake up before the alarm and I always feel refreshed and well rested.  I felt like straight ass this morning.  I was still exhausted and unrested.

I mixed a scoop and a half of Vapor and bam…down the hatch.  Well while walking to the gym this morning, I got the word of a last minute change and had to ceasse fire to my training and take care of mission first.

The results of the 1-1/2 scoops (with appropriate water ratio) were the same as yesterday. The only difference was that the taste was more chalky and I felt the onset of the upset stomach quicker this time.  I didn’t experience any nausea nor any rebound symptoms or effects.

I will take it again in a few minutes and start my chest workout. I will bump it up to 2 scoops and track it.

PM Training:

mixed the 2 scoops of vapor:water. Pulse increased slightly, no H/A’s or other abnormalities noted. significant strength decrease noted which was more than likely secondary to only 3 hrs of sleep.

naNO Vapor

November 25, 2007

Well I’m now officially out of Cell-Tech  and Nitro-Tech. Yesterday while "Aaron Tippin" was preparing to put on a show, I went into the PX and purchased some naNO Vapor.  I researched this stuff, like I do everything else, and I figured I’d give it a try. I took a full scoop as directed to start with. All bullshit aside, I was a bit disappointed. Being a Medic, I know that everyone can react differently in one way or another to any one product.

Results I noticed from product 10 minutes after ingestion:
38y/o hispanic male, average physical condition, no prior medical history…none that needs to be noted on here anyway…lol.

I opened the can, powder floatin round in there. Mixd 1 scoop with 4 oz of H2O. Did not shake to mix but simply stirred it in the plastic water bottle. No noticable headaches, dizziness, rapid or bounding pulse. I didn’t have to use the latrine like I normally do with NOExplode. My body didn’t turn red like some users said theirs did. Breathing remained normal.  The taste (fruit punch) was not too bad.  I expected a really medicinal taste. Taste was quite similar to NOExplode.

No "out of the ordinary" changes during my workout.
I did kind of sense a bit of nausea setting in close to the end of my workout but that tends to happen when I workout hard so I can’t really pinpoint it to the workout or to the supps.  I would have to say it was a combination of both.

It now been 2 and a half hrs after a leg workout.

I dont feel as tired as normal but I’m not sure if it was because the workout or because of the supps. Regardless, as of right now, there appears to be no rebound effect like some other users claimed.

I normally feel tired around 1900hrs and when not on mission, prepare to rack out.  I don’t feel as tired as normal.  I feel a little bit of "bubble-gut" trying to set in.

I will use 1-1/2 scoops tomorrow instead of a full 2, just to be on the safe side. Instructions are 1-3 scoops to directed water ratio but start at oe and work up to 3.

I will try and post again tomorrow morning after my chest workout. If I don’t post at that time, then I’ll post after my evening workout…
