I had first begun working out last September, so this marks my one year anniversary. It’s been a very good start. I’ve gained about 45 pounds this year, although a few of those can be attributed to natural growth. I wish I had started training like I do now back at the beginning. It wasn’t until a few months ago that I really started to put my soul into my training. Also, my recent diet plan has given me some great gains the last month or so. Now I just want to try and bring myself to 160 for wrestling season. LET’S LIFT SOME WEIGHT!

My new split is kicking some serious ass. I was on a 3-day push/pull/legs split before, and the gains were nice in the beginning, but it quickly died out. After switching to my new 4-day split, my body has exploded. I’ve gained at least half an inch on all bodyparts (except calves) in the last month. A lot of the gains are because of the fact that I just started doing heavy deadlifts/squats just recently. For some stupid reason, I left them out of my routine before. I’m hoping to gain at least another 2 or 3 pounds of muscle by school. It’s a lot to gain, but I think it can happen.

This summer is going to be great. Everybody is out partying day and night and getting completely wrecked. Meanwhile, I’m in the gym busting my ass. Haven’t been to a single party yet, but I really don’t care. Walking into school in September 15-20 pounds thicker will be well worth the wait.

I woke up today, and my shoulder felt great! I thought I had really damaged it yesterday, but I guess not. I went into the gym and had a fantastic workout. I’m starting a new diet/workout plan, and I think I’ll be getting some serious gains.

I’ve been working out non-stop for the last 7 months. I haven’t taken breaks any longer than a day in length, and it’s caught up with me. For the past month or two, I’ve made very little progress in terms of muscle growth. I’ve been training hard, lifting heavy, and eating clean/a lot, but still haven’t gotten any gains. I injured my shoulder today during a chest workout, and I’ve finally decided to take some time off. I’m going to take a week off, and then I’m really going to push myself. It’s too bad that I needed an injury to see how badly I needed some rest.
