After studying the profiles of those 36 year old males on bodyspace who have weight charts, the most popular body measurement is: (Guess, then scroll down…)
Waist size! 45 of 68 males measured their waist size as part of their measurements. Average waist size among these particular males is 36.64 inches.
In second place is arm size. 44 of 68 males measured their arm size (average circumference is 15.8 inches).
Why am I doing this? I am trying to get a handle on what is realisitic. I am about to turn 36, so I am studying 36 year old male stats. I chose the ones with a weight chart because they are probably the ones (on average with some exceptions) most likely to be serious about their training.
Comments anyone?

Of all the 36 year old men who have weight charts, their average weight is 204.6lbs and their average height is 5ft 10.74".
Of those who filled in stats, average bodyfat is 17% and average arms is 15.8
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I finally did it! One full year of working out twice a week! During this time, I increased my bench press from 120 to 140 lbs. I’ve increased my biceps curl from 35 to 45lbs (and I’m close to 50lb!). I continue to move closer to my goal of being able to do chin ups!
In the next couple of weeks, I want to take a serious look at my workout habits and see what I should change…now that I have work out habits!
Anyone have any suggestions for how I can improve my work out routine? Thanks!

Yesterday was a great workout==the best in a very long time!!!
It was fun! I focused on lower body.
I calf raises as part of it. After several reps with lower weight I did 5 with 170lbs. Add my weight in, and my calf muscles were supporting 400lbs of weight. Can’t get my mind around that.

Thanks for all your words of encouragement!!!
What a crazy summer! I still can’t believe that I survived it!!!
I can finally get back to working out! I worked out yesterday, and boy did it feel good after all this time!!!
The thing I really liked about this summer is that I got to put into use my ability to run. I remember waking up one day a few years ago and realized that I couldn’t run like I did when I was a kid anymore. I felt bad. But over the past couple of years, I’ve got my ability to run back! Yay!!!

Finally, I get to write a post!
Yesterday I got to do my first "real" workout in two weeks. (Last week I was out of town & the week before I couldn’t do more than cardio).
Anyway, in the past two weeks, my weight has shot up (very bad) but now it is finally coming back down. I can’t wait till I’m under 200lbs.
In the meantime, I know that it is God that gives me success in my attempts to gain strength and lose weight!!!
