Well folks, it has been a long time. I have now found out I cannot pursue my dream in bodybuilding. I have a herniated disk and my spine has developed in a way which cannot stand anymore weight on my shoulders. I have been advised that I can lift weights but to not put ‘any’ pressure on my back. No more squats, dead lifts, bent over bb rows, morning glories etc. I can’t even jump on the treadmill without feeling allot of pain after about 5 minutes.

I have been given the option to have a gastric bypass to ease a great deal of my ailments. (diabetes, sleep apnea, and back\foot\knee pain) I am scheduled to have the procedure done around May or June of 2009. So I am learning as much as I can about the pros and cons about the surgery. Diet and excersise will still be a big part of my everyday life after the surgery, but it will be easier on my body than it is now.

I remain optimistic and look forward to what tomorrow has in store. Keep up the hard work. I will keep you posted on my progress and my situation in the upcoming months. Until then; train like there is no tomorrow!!

I fell off the wagon, got run over by it and got stuck underneath. Somehow I managed to get out from under that stinkin, lazy, saturated, pessimistic cloud; and I am happy to announce that I am back on track. I am hitting the weights harder than ever before and with summer less than two months away; I am determined to slim down more than ever before.

I had a chance to read some of the comments some of you have left me while I was in my rut. I realize; had I only kept up with my bodyspace I would have found the support that I was looking for. Thank you guys for the words of encouragement.

I will update my stats soon and post some more pics. You guys and gals ROCK!

Hey there, Its been a while. I have been so busy w/school, work and family. I haven’t taken the time to update my progress. I havent been to the gym in a few weeks I have acquired a home gym, so I have been using that off and on. I have been sticking to my diet very stricktly. I have lost about 30lbs. so far. I am now at 333lbs. I have been riding my bike to school and work everyday. That counts as something. Doesn’t it? With Winter just around the corner I want to get down to 300. I will be incorparating some TAE BO from here till the 1st snow flake falls. As soon as Winter hits. I plan to concentrate on lifting and cut out "all" cardio. I will put on as much mass as possible before Spring. Come Spring I plan to start adding a little cardio and gradually decrease the weights. This will allow for me to burn more fat. "At least thats what makes sense to me" I am sorry i don’t have any digital pics. to post yet. I broke my camera. I plan to put my latest pics up here soon. Till next time…..

Went out today to check out some supplements at GNC. Being that next month is just around the corner. If you have their gold card you save an extra 20% off all items in the store during the 1st week of every month.
Anyways, I’ve been taking Muscletech’s Cell-Tech creatine powder (grape flavor), which I am almost out of. I got to talking to the salesperson. Told him I was getting ready for next weeks sale, so I could save the 20%. He offered to honor the 20% today being that MuscleTech products are on sale this month and the price is going to go up the first of the month. Here’s what I got
*Cell-tech Hardcore Fruit punch flavor*
*Nitro-tech protein, Strawberry flavor*
*Creakic & Luekic*
Let’s not forget:
*BSN’s NO-Xplode, Fruit punch flavor* (this stuff rocks)
I saved roughly $90.00 after the BOGO 50% and the 20% off of the final price of my total. Not bad if you ask me. This should last me a while.
Now as far as my exercise routine is concerned. I have been hitting the gym just about every day. My training cycle goes something like this.
Day 1: Chest & Triceps
Day 2: Back & Biceps
Day 3: legs
Day 4: Shoulders, Traps, Abs & Calves
Day 5: off
Repeat Cycle
I have noticed a big difference in the amount of energy I’ve had this past month. I am so glad we made the decision to get into shape. (My wife and I). By the way she is my biggest inspiration.
My forearms are growing. My biceps are starting to show (at least I can see themJ). My triceps are felling nice and tight. I can feel my lower back getting stronger. My chest is by far showing the most noticeable changes. The old hams and thighs are definitely feeling starting to shape up. Finally my calves, ohh they are feeling good!
I know it’s only been a month, but I am definitely feeling good about my self. Don’t tell my wife, but I’ve noticed a change in the shape of her ass and legs too. Mmmm makes me “hungy”.
Well here is where I wrap it up. I am thankful that God has put it in our hearts (my wife and I) to work toward keeping our bodies healthy. Not only for ourselves but for our kids as well. This way we will be around long enough to see our great grandchildren. Not that I am ready to be a grandfather!
Again please if anyone has any advice a beginner could benefit from please feel free to contribute your thoughts. Until next time. God bless….

Ok, so here it goes.
I started lifting April 20, 2007
My main goal at this point is to build as much muscle as possible, before I even think about getting cut. I don’t know much about bodybuilding. Although I have been doing alot of research.
At this point I have come to the conclusion that, this will be the easiest phase of my lifting "carreer so to speak". To gain muscle. Due to the fact that I have a great deal of fat to burn. So if I make the best out of every visit to the gym, and focus on packing on that beef. I will find myself getting bigger than I ever imagined..
Of course I know that the eating habits are what will make most of the diffence in my transformation. So I am working at this very hard. I mean very hard!
Like I said, I am new to this; so my feelings won’t be hurt if you feel the need to leave me some constructive critisism..
Ok I’m done for now.
See ya in a few…..
