Forced into retirement!
Monday, February 23rd, 2009Well folks, it has been a long time. I have now found out I cannot pursue my dream in bodybuilding. I have a herniated disk and my spine has developed in a way which cannot stand anymore weight on my shoulders. I have been advised that I can lift weights but to not put ‘any’ pressure on my back. No more squats, dead lifts, bent over bb rows, morning glories etc. I can’t even jump on the treadmill without feeling allot of pain after about 5 minutes.
I have been given the option to have a gastric bypass to ease a great deal of my ailments. (diabetes, sleep apnea, and back\foot\knee pain) I am scheduled to have the procedure done around May or June of 2009. So I am learning as much as I can about the pros and cons about the surgery. Diet and excersise will still be a big part of my everyday life after the surgery, but it will be easier on my body than it is now.
I remain optimistic and look forward to what tomorrow has in store. Keep up the hard work. I will keep you posted on my progress and my situation in the upcoming months. Until then; train like there is no tomorrow!!
