Progress Report

Went out today to check out some supplements at GNC. Being that next month is just around the corner. If you have their gold card you save an extra 20% off all items in the store during the 1st week of every month.
Anyways, I’ve been taking Muscletech’s Cell-Tech creatine powder (grape flavor), which I am almost out of. I got to talking to the salesperson. Told him I was getting ready for next weeks sale, so I could save the 20%. He offered to honor the 20% today being that MuscleTech products are on sale this month and the price is going to go up the first of the month. Here’s what I got
*Cell-tech Hardcore Fruit punch flavor*
*Nitro-tech protein, Strawberry flavor*
*Creakic & Luekic*
Let’s not forget:
*BSN’s NO-Xplode, Fruit punch flavor* (this stuff rocks)
I saved roughly $90.00 after the BOGO 50% and the 20% off of the final price of my total. Not bad if you ask me. This should last me a while.
Now as far as my exercise routine is concerned. I have been hitting the gym just about every day. My training cycle goes something like this.
Day 1: Chest & Triceps
Day 2: Back & Biceps
Day 3: legs
Day 4: Shoulders, Traps, Abs & Calves
Day 5: off
Repeat Cycle
I have noticed a big difference in the amount of energy I’ve had this past month. I am so glad we made the decision to get into shape. (My wife and I). By the way she is my biggest inspiration.
My forearms are growing. My biceps are starting to show (at least I can see themJ). My triceps are felling nice and tight. I can feel my lower back getting stronger. My chest is by far showing the most noticeable changes. The old hams and thighs are definitely feeling starting to shape up. Finally my calves, ohh they are feeling good!
I know it’s only been a month, but I am definitely feeling good about my self. Don’t tell my wife, but I’ve noticed a change in the shape of her ass and legs too. Mmmm makes me “hungy”.
Well here is where I wrap it up. I am thankful that God has put it in our hearts (my wife and I) to work toward keeping our bodies healthy. Not only for ourselves but for our kids as well. This way we will be around long enough to see our great grandchildren. Not that I am ready to be a grandfather!
Again please if anyone has any advice a beginner could benefit from please feel free to contribute your thoughts. Until next time. God bless….

Hey, congratulations on deciding to buckle down and get in shape! I think you’re doing it for the right reasons from what you’ve said in this post.

So, you asked for advice for beginners, so I figured I’d offer my 2 cents. First, the Lemon Lime NO-Explode is about a trillion times tastier than Fruit Punch (just to let you know) and you can get it cheaper from ********** than you can from GNC (online or in the store). If you’re going to continue stocking up on supplements like you are, you might want to check out online stores first because they’re generally cheaper.

Second, your workout program looks strong. It somewhat resembles what I’m currently doing (as far as main bodyparts). Just be sure you get some good cardio in there too. I think doing cardio right after you lift is better for weight/fat loss because your glycogen stores are already depleted (or something like that, says Muscle and Fitness).

Third, just keep on trucking. Push yourself as hard as you possibly can when you’re in the gym each and every day. When you leave, it should feel like you can’t bend your arms, cross your chest, or walk straight (depending on the bodypart worked). This is good for two reasons. First, since you’re only doing one bodypart a day, it proves you’re fully exhausting it so it can take advantage of the six day rest until it is done again. Second, you’ll feel absolutely thrilled that you worked that hard. Its a great feeling, in my opinion.

So, what’s your diet like? I think more than even exercise, that’s the most important thing about a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck, and keep up the good work.
