Great workout with my cousin today!!!

July 29, 2009

Great workout today!!! Trained shoulders n bis/tris supersets with my cousin.

Felt great to realize that I’m way ahead of him in bb,even though he’s been serious at it for ever n I’ve only had ’bout one solid year. Great Acomplishments indeed! =D

Still didn’t get the chance to workout to those bands @XNickEdgeX said, but as soon as I get the chance to workout alone,I’ll kill it with those bands powerin’ me up! ;)

For now I think I’m just gonna keep havin’ fun pushin’ my cousin to the limit! =P

Diet is about 80% of it all

July 24, 2009

"I try to eat clean as much as possible. In my opinion, diet is everything. You can train as hard and heavy as you want, but if you don’t have your diet in check you won’t reach those goals you’ve set for yourself. I think diet is about 80% of it all. I eat a lot of chicken, lean beef, turkey, eggs, oats, tuna, brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc. I try to stay as consistent as I can with nutrition, eating a lot of the same foods everyday. Supplementation is also very important. I started to do a lot of research on supplementation when I really started to take training seriously." - Nick Paniagua

Start of jogging afternoons spree

July 7, 2009

Hit chest workout today w/ push ups 1st. Just feel like they fill out chest the best. And now just did a 22min30sec jog at 10 km/h. Feels great! I’ll try to keep up this rhythm every day to start cutting on the jiggling fat that’s hiding the abs somewhere in there. Damn that fat!

Great Motivational Words

June 29, 2009

"When I get tired and want to stop I’d wonder what my next opponent was doing, I’d wonder if he was still working out, I’d try to visualize him. When I could see him still working, I’d start pushing myself. When I could see him quit, I’d push myself even harder."

"If you beat me, it’s not because you outworked me!!" - Layne Norton

Hell of a workout today! …must’ve dropped a pound of sweat…

June 29, 2009

Must have dropped a pound or two of sweat today at the gym. :) Hit it on the treadmill, on the bicycle and the elliptical machine. The one I most liked was the bicycle, but what really IS THE GREATEST BOOSTER / MOTIVATOR IN CARDIO IS:

THE MP3/Ipod Player with your favourite songs!!!

Don’t everybody agree? :)

Let me know what you think.

Stones on my path?

May 25, 2009

"Stones on my path? I keep them all for someday I will build a castle…"

This phrase from a Portuguese writer called Fernando Pessoa says it all…

No matter what troubles we face during our journey, we can all keep the stones on our way and grow bigger and brighter until one day when we will have a castle of our own, where we are master and lords of our own existence…

Stones on my path? I keep them all…

Do you keep yours? ;)

Get enough SLEEP!

May 20, 2009

Get enough SLEEP!

Not getting enough sleep can negate all of the effort you put in the gym. When you sleep, your body produces the most growth hormone. Working out breaks down your muscles and they need to be repaired and possibly made bigger to withstand the daily load you are giving them. Let your growth hormone do its job and get enough sleep. Try and get at least 7-8 hours of restful sleep a night.

This may be hard to swallow by high energy teens, especially during summertime, but remember that growth happens at night while you sleep. Deprive yourself of sleep and your hormonal activity (your natural steroid production) goes down, which ends up costing you valuable growth. Eight to nine hours of sleep at night will give you the maximum growth you are looking for. Seven would be the bare minimum you can probably get away with.
