Friends! How many of us have them?!
I am SO tired of people thinking that they have any say on how much I should weigh or what I should be eating. These so called "friends" know that i’m still overweight. Being 5′3" and 140 lbs is NOT okay. So why gang up on me at get togethers to eat cake, or cheddar hot dogs, or drink? What kind of friend is that? When they are eating junk I don’t say, "You better watch it before you end up a fatty!!!". But I get, "EAT something; you’re gonna get too skinny." What the hell?? I have never been skinny nor do I want to be. I’ve always appreciated muscular physiques and I know full well no one will see any definition on my body with a layer of fat covering it. I just wish I had more support from those around me.

How about clothing or wo apparel help? I have people say stuff to me at work that is unbeleivable, including references to "roids… I wish people would just keep it to themselves!

I have the same problem with a friend that urges me to eat junk. I have made a vow to avoid going to her house since it is booby trapped with junk food and she is a big time food pusher. If you figure out a way to get the food pushers in your life to stop let me know so I can try it on my friend.
You look beautiful!

Okay, I have the same exact problem, so I know where you’re coming from. I love the muscular feminine physique and like you said there is no way to get that with a layer of fat. It’s not about trying to be skinny or starving or anything like that! You know what you want your body to look like and you know what you can and can not do to get there. But for some reason you will always have someone out there that will try to make you feel like you are overdoing it or that you’re being ridiculous. Girl, just shake em off and keep stepping. I know it’s hard sometimes but you’ll learn how to let people like that say what they want and not let it have any effect on you. Sometimes I wonder if it is jealousy, because maybe these same people see your progress and they themselves feel like they don’t have what it takes to also transform themselves. But that’s why we have bb.com, This site is a gift and the people here are so supportive! So whenever you feel overwhelmed with the nonsense out there, you know you can always long on to this site for support.! I wish you the best of luck with your goals…… NIkki

Sweetheart they’re not worried about you getting skinny.. They’re worried about themselves getting fatter and you not joining them at the annual Pork Chop of the Year Awards show.:-)

I am going through the same problems, and he Lives with me. You just have to know that you are above what any one else wants you to do. Do what you want and screw everyone else. You look good. Good luck with your goals FOR LIFE = ]

All these folks are right. I am still fortunate to be fat enough (??) not to have folks pushing junk or giving me a hard time about what I eat. More likely they’re trying to find out what I’m doing (not that they’re willing to do it too). But eventually I guess it will come up. What Fat Free Mitch D said was probably the most true. I think folks get scared when you change and they don’t. It puts up a mirror to their behavior and no one wants to look in that mirror until they’re ready (and some are never ready).
