Doctors Diagnosis…
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008Ok, to make a long story short….Been slipping on the workout…didn’t go to water aerobics yesterday but going tomorrow…finally went to the doctor’s office today to confirm what I already knew and get X-rays….I was told that I have early and very mild case of Arthritis from my PFS (Patella Femoral Syndrome. For those of you again that don’t know, it is a degenerative condition of the cartilage surface of the back of the knee cap, or patella. It produces discomfort or dull pain around or behind the patella. It is common in young adults, especially soccer players, cyclists, rowers, tennis players, ballet dancers and runners….and guess who else OVER WEIGHT PEOPLE. Yep folks me. I have not played in these sports. The doctor said two things to me 1.) You are too young for arthritis and 2.) Lose the weight now! He also recommended Physical Therapy (More money to dish out)….Time to step up my game….. I went out and brought The Target brand of Glucosamine Chondroitin Complex plus 1500mg MSM, arch support for my shoes, knee brace and more water aerobics. Now I am all set. I refuse to let this get me. Pray for me People….Hit me up and let me know what you think.
