Weak

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

It’s official. I’m weak now. After taking 2 and a half weeks off due to my broken jaw, and it being wired shut I’m WEAK! I finally went back to the weight room and wanted to see where my strength was at. I first did some warm-ups and stretches. I’ve been consuming a lot of carbs from the weight gainers I’ve been taking so I really didn’t think that my strength going to suffer. My weight did lower though from 183 to 178. I was hoping that it was all water weight but I knew it wasn’t. Working out twice a day and having a strict diet plan to look good for Halloween was my usual workout regimen. Lately I’ve just been sitting around on the internet researching workout programs and Power Lifting information since I can’t do high rep bodybuilding routines due to the small amount of oxygen I breath because of my wired jaw. So anyways I tried to do my 1 rep max on bench. I started with 295 and couldn’t do it. Then 290, nope, 285, almost got a cramp, and  280, couldn’t do it. Finally I barely put up 275. Man did that suck for me. Freakin I remembered not so long ago lifitng 290 at when I weighed 180. I hate the fact that I’m on all liquid diet, but I didn’t think it would really affect my strength this much. I need to get on a Power Lifting/Strength program now cause I feel so weak. If anyone knows of any good workout routines please let me know. I want to just gain strength now and stop doing my normal body building routines that require a mixture of high reps and low reps. Man hopefully this drop in strength stops quick, cause it took me way longer that 2 weeks and a half to gain 20lbs in strength.

Can’t Eat

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

After constant dedication, constant pain, constant gains, and life-long goal it seems injury to the my body will stop it. This is my first Blog entry and I can say it’s not a good one. I recently found out my jaw is broken and now have my mouth wired SHUT! Oh man this sucks. I was at 184 pounds and 5% body fat. I leaned up for Halloween to wear my costume and planned on gaining weight to turn into lean mass for the summer but that doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen any more. I can’t eat anything solid. All liquids for me for 6 whole weeks. All my hopes for the summer went down, but then I thought to myself maybe I can turn my certain situation into a opportunity. I’m taking weight gainers and and all it seems to do is maintain my weight. I’ve been out of the weight room since my jaw is in so much pain. I went yesterday for the first time and it felt good though, even though it’s hard to breath. I take longer rest in between sets and can’t clench my teeth. I wonder if I will obtain my goals. I like the way my body looks now but I want mere perfection. More mass, more strength. I think I’ll go on a Olympic routine and just gain strength cause I’ve seen routines where they do just one rep lifts. I can’t do a lot cause then I get light headed do to the lack of oxygen. Yeah at least I’ll know how to gain mass and the do’s and don’t of a all liquid diet after I’m done. I should document everything and make an article afterwards but I get lazy a lot, but now I have a lot of free time. Well we’ll see.
